It's the one thing I hate about driving to that part of town.

I second that. And don't forget about the Rt 51/ Rt 837 clusterf*#$ in Elizabeth. Route 51 makes a 90 degree turn into an area with back to back left entrance/exit ramps. Very short ramps with lots of blind spots! I used to drive this daily and saw plenty of fender-benders.

ctrl-f "Squirrel" ... yep. Nailed it. (If you live in the east you're a masochist)

Any exit ramp that also partially doubles as an entrance ramp. I know they are used when space is tight, but having one lane have people merge on, merge off, braking, and accelerating all at the same time sucks.

If I wanted to spend V60R money, I wouldn't.

I wanted better things for Seth Green as an actor.

I have spoken at length to my coworker and he likes the way the truck he owns makes him feel (4x4 F150). As long as he is a responsible owner we are fine.

Some people like driving big vehicles (trucks) and the Raptor is the sports car of trucks basically... so you get the big vehicle feel, and all that tight handling and off-road prowess. This truck really isn't meant to be a work truck. It sits very high and would make it difficult to reach your toolbox or whatever

They're nipping this in the bud. Had they not, someone else would have tried to break this 'record.' They sent an important message.

Nothing better to do than catch lawbreakers? You are correct. Actually, that is all they are supposed to be doing.

This was low hanging fruit. I doubt they have a lot of man hours on this.

The taxpayers are paying money so the police do arrest people like this. Using the city street as a race track is illegal and dangerous. What is wrong with you? Seriously.

Speeding around a city endangering everyones lives by using it as a race track and being arrested for doing this shit is not deserving of an anti-new York image. They SHOULD be arresting people like this. What is wrong with you?

Crime that hurt no one? That's like saying that you've driven home drunk a hundred times and hurt no one - and then bitch about being arrested for a victim-less crime on the 101st time. This is why we have laws against DUI - because eventually the drunk driver will hurt/maim/kill someone. This is the reason why

Yeah yeah save the vitriol... I'm no fan of the NYPD at all (probably called them Fascists a few times myself), but the point is pretty obvious here: prevent copycats. Afroduck basically encouraged it, and when you start to have more people racing around NYC with impunity, you're bound to have something bad happen

Oh, absolutely. Our infrastructure is beyond fucked and there will be a BIG bill to pay.

Allow motorcycles in America to legally lane split and filter through traffic. Then promote motorcycle riding as a economical way to commute(which it is). You will suddenly have thousands/millions of young people buying a very affordable used mid size motorcycle to ride around.

Where'd that image come from? The route across the midwest looks like my brother dragged a gray crayon across without any rhyme or reason.

The idea may be sound, but it isn't really applicable in this context as it doesn't address the key issue. A solid high-speed would address the issue of reducing the number of people driving on long-distance trips (though how effectively it would do so is up for debate), but that's not what's causing the growth in

The northeast has the same population density as Europe, and it remains pretty high all the way down the Atlantic seaboard. The parts of the west coast targeted for high speed rail are similarly dense. The middle of the country is what brings down our total population density.
