Yeah, my understanding is that Garner did not care for Smith at all.

"Homer, I want you to have my hat. I wore it the day Kennedy was shot and it's always brought my luck."

When Merge reissued the first 3 albums, J insisted they put Bulbs of Passion as the first track on the first album.

That's very cool. Those are both good shows.

My ranking today would be:
1. Never Heard the End of It *
2. Twice Removed *
3. Between the Bridges
4. The Double Cross
5. One Chord To Another
6. Navy Blues
7. Smeared
8. The Commonwealth
9. Parallel Play
10. Action Pact
11. Pretty Together #

I was thinking the next Sloan entry would be "Never Hear the End of It". Possibly my favourite Sloan album, just because of how sprawling it is.

I'm surprised Everything You've Done Wrong (the Canadian hit) didn't get mentioned.
I love Sloan. Saw them play One Chord in its entirety in May. Picked up the album box set. It's better than the box for Twice Removed, though I still prefer the latter as an album.

The holiday episode centred around the invention that made modern life possible: the Refrigerator!

I thought the baby (also known as "Ugh Ugh I'm Dying You Idiot Sinclair") actually was pretty entertaining when not spewing catchphrases.
I also think the world would be a better place without Barney the Dinosaur. My sister was obsessed with that show in the early 90s but the rest of us loathed it. As the stay at

Unbreakable is the best thing Shyamalan ever did bar none.

I for one think Dinosaurs was a great show. I own the DVD sets and most of it still holds up for me. I'm still particularly partial to the WeSaySo ads and a lot of the TV parodies. The ending of the drug episode is classic. I dunno, I really like that show.
I say replace Dinosaurs with Denver the Last Dinosaur.

Love classic Simpsons. Until a couple years ago I was oblivious to the word play of Flaming Moe and Flaming Homer. I still feel ashamed that it took me so long.

I love the amateurishness of Sumner's singing on the original version. Makes me smile every time.
By 87 he sang it
properly…

I heard a fair bit of Talking Heads on there too…

Am I the only one that prefers Brotherhood and Low-Life to Power, Corruption & Lies?

I thought Mike D. was Tamra Davis….

Nope. Kathleen Hanna…

I was thinking the same thing. I mean Kids in the Hall started airing in 1989, so i think they're a little late…

"Gary Oldman, sterling as always". Please tell me you aren't including Tiptoes in this "always". Good lord that movie was terrible.
