If people are really into Twin Peaks may I suggest Gravity Falls? Yes, it’s a children’s cartoon, but it clearly takes a lot of inspiration from Lynch’s series and gets fairly intense in the second season with “Dollar Bill” who is their version of Twin Peaks’ Bob. It’s streaming on Disney+.

Pascal seems to mirror Timothy Olyphant, in that he’s a huge goof that nevertheless plays a lot of fairly serious characters, nearly to the point of typecasting. Both of them are probably funnier than most currently working comic actors.

TLJ said “you know, Star Wars can tell a lot of different stories” and RotS responded with “nah.”

There was a point in final act of the Last Jedi where I realized that I had no idea what was going to happen next. That’s a feeling I had never felt before with Star Wars, and I haven’t felt it since. Just because of that, TLJ was my favorite SW media since ESB.

I’m still waiting for a game as good as Intellivision Football...it was not terribly hard to learn, but getting good at it was a challenge that kept you coming back. Their Baseball was pretty excellent as well...and both were possible because of the controller that had all those keys and buttons. WAY far ahead of any

Same thing happened in Bad Batch. They took an episode to focus on Twi’Leks and Hera from Rebels before dovetailing into the main story. Not that difficult to understand.

It is so utterly weird that it is Ahsoka Tano, of all the characters in Star Wars history, who is espousing this nonsense also.

you should watch any of his conan interviews. dude is a fucking weirdo and i love it.

Yeah, when he was philosophizing I was thinking about how could he know all this with the little formal training he had? Sure, sure, something happened between Empire and Jedi, and sure, sure, he had the Jedi scrolls to read. But it was hard not to think of him as the first semester college kid coming home and

Pretty sure the book of boba fett is an all encompassing title and viewers cannot handle it. These are the stories how the war with pike were won in this specific area of the universe. That’s that....

He frequently prescribed Huxatonic™.

I wish it could work that way (enjoying the art again) for Fat Albert. That was part of my childhood and there was so much good about it. The kids were all misfits and accepted each other. Albert was the popular one. They dealt with stuff like talking about child abuse.

Rudy, the problem with The Cos’, ya see, is the snorkem flizzum with the skizzum florp, ya see, Theo!

So many X-Wing stories:

I want more space dog fights. More X-Wings.

Hot take: Whedon’s version of Batman was one of the more refreshing takes on the character. Typically, Batman’s somehow able to keep up with all his superpowered allies despite being a normal dude, but in Whedon’s version, he is written as a normal dude in a war against gods, especially in the final battle where he

To be honest, while I think it is a component, I don’t think that was the big reason. It doesn’t seem like Temuera Morrison has that mobility anymore, which is understandable as he is 61 years old, which made the choreography really awkward any time his face needed to be on screen.

…a completely ridiculous Avengers musical number that Marvel Studios definitely thinks is funnier than it actually is. (It’s not not funny, to be fair.)

I’m not a believer in sacred texts, personally. IMO Branagh’s are perfectly fine for the sleek, big-budget Hollywood fare that they are...though I’ll admit I do chuckle and roll my eyes at the thought of conventionally handsome Branagh trying to pass himself off as a walking, talking egg man

Now playing

Also, the first sentence of the article states that this is the first trailer for the movie, seemingly making this news-worthy, but that’s just not true. The original trailer was released 16 months ago back in August 2020, with a lot of the same clips and even the same background song, just a little less Hammer Time
