a brief montage shows many of them dying of snake bites, wild dog attacks, and getting sick from contaminated water.

To be fair, Sir Paul is genuinely still a very busy man these days, but we can’t help but wonder why he couldn’t have filmed a Zoom clip or something.

I feel like Jeff Lynne would show up to anyone's video if they asked him to. Like even if I made one, he'd be in it.

I dunno, if you watch Get Back backwards, you can clearly hear Paul say “I hate George”

I wouldn’t read all that much into Paul’s absence. Ringo played on the track, so he has a very different relationship to the song despite them both being Beatles.

He has vibes of probably being a prick in real life, but he has such a great line delivery and world-weariness as Hawkeye that he’s one of my favorite Avengers, despite the jokes about him being a useless guy with a bow and arrow and no powers. And his “you’re an Avenger” speech is the top moment in Age of Ultron.

Now Boxing Glove Arrow, that’s where Clint draws the line.

Someones going to find it a lot harder to hitch-hike

That’s just sacrilege. There’s already a Mockingbird in the MCU and she‘s played by Adrienne Palicki and I will cut the thumbs off any fucker who tries to claim otherwise.

The discussion about how trick arrowheads don’t just fit on any generic arrow shaft feels like a callback to the original Hawkeye mini (the same one in which he met and married Mockingbird and damaged his hearing), in which he reveals that his trick arrowheads DO in fact snap on to any store-bought arrow... I would think that you, a non-doctor who plays a doctor on the internet, should understand.

Yes, I’ve been saying for years I’m still around because I am too old to unlearn and relearn new sites. And I like the commenters here.

At this point, I can’t hear Linda Cardellini’s voice without hearing Wendy from Gravity Falls, especially when you only hear her voice on the phone.

The Matt Fraction Hawkeye was always more John Steed and Emma Peel Avengers than Iron Man and Captain America Avengers.

The AV Club still does weekly reviews?

One of the most regular things on this show is the forgiveness of physical accidents. A cake topper falls off or something falls on the ground, we usually get the baker hemming and hawing a little and the judges pointing it out, being apologetic, and then everyone moving on. It makes sense from a logistics standpoint,

S-Town has 4 engrossing episodes, and completely fails to pay off at the end leaving you incredibly dissatisfied. In my experience anyway. Feels like they got all this great material and then just couldn’t wait until the conclusion was reached and put out the whole pod before the story was finished. Not worth.

Lizzie’s showstopper was fantastic and she seemed really proud and happy with it, which made it all the sadder that they sent her home.

That totally reaffirms my feeling that Mark was the author stand-in (in addition to the character I most related to as a teenager). One of my favorite parts from Rent is when Roger is telling Mark that he “pretends to create and observe when [he] really detach[es] from feeling alive,” and Mark says that “perhaps it’s

After the last flight leaves McMurdo station for the winter, stranding everybody there for months, they watch The Thing. That’s pretty hard core.
