I stopped visiting io9 and some other sites every day because I’m already saturated with Star Wars and superheroes. The words Batman, Marvel and Star Wars are just making me nauseous, it’s hard to even click on any headline with these words.

Disney and Star Wars:
Well, at least there’s one Episode 3 on Steam, it’s not Half Life though.
The problem with DC isn’t DC, it’s Warner. DC does not have it’s own studio. The people making comics are below the people making other media in the food chain.
Xen is so underrated. I always liked that part of the game. I loved when I saw the bodies of the other Black Mesa guys who tried to go there to stop whatever was happening. The low gravity environment is cool and it was one of the most alien places videogames ever led me.
Yeah, right. “Marvel Entertainment” is listed on every Marvel movie not made by Marvel, even on First Class and the new Fantastic Four movie, and we all know they’re not responsible for what happens in those movies, their brand is only there because those studios (Fox and Sony) are using their properties.
Except that was a FOX movie based on Marvel property, Marvel Studios having nothing to do with it. :P
I remember playing Rebel Assault II a lot on my PC when I was younger, I finished the game dozens of times, always playing from beginning to end ininterruptly because it felt like a movie.
You may not like the direction they take in Jedi Knight, but the cutscenes for both Dark Forces II: Jedi Knight and Rebel Assault II were awesome for me when I was younger. It was the closest thing to a new Star Wars movie we had until the prequels.
Yes, I want Hollywood to give me more Interstellars. It was way better than the majority of blockbusters anyway, I don’t get why people feel the need to bash it.
I must say that Apple reminds me of the EMPIRE. The Rebel Alliance? They totally use Linux. They need the security and the encryption of their own systems to avoid the Empire having all their data.
Looks totally like an edited Affleck’s voice, but there was a rumor that Doomsday could be on the movie, so who knows? I still think it’s Batman though.
Well, he’s a superpowered alien who can trash an entire city with some punches, can fly, has lasers in his eyes, has super-hearing, etc. Of course people would idolize him like he was a messiah in the real world.
Or coourse the asian guy knows how to handle katanas. *rolls eyes*
You know the majority of people in the government are the same people who run large companies or are their lobbyists, right?
This. People are associating the label "dark and gritty" with DC just because of the movies.
These are basically fertile ground for the origin stories of these heroes...so that when we see The Flash or Green Arrow in the films we know their stories already.
The "no humor policy" is a rumor too. Yes, that Warner executive said the the DCCU is aiming to be more "grounded" than Marvels, but he never talked about the movies having "no humor".
I don't think anything is "too comic-y" to make a good movie these days. But I never cared about the FF anyway and I'm liking the sci-fi tone of this movie and the casting so they'll have my money.
It's interesting to note how the structure of both DC and Marvel are different, DC Comics being subsidiary of DC Entertainment while Marvel Studios is a subsidiary of Marvel Comics.
