Had that movie on Betamax and was the ONLY reason I was upset our family got rid of the Beta. They promised a copy on VHS, so I was good.

This feature has become a sad weekly reminder that we don’t really have discussions anymore. I hoped that after a bit the old AV Club community would adapt to working with Kinja, but it doesn’t look like it’s happening (and I certainly don’t have any great ideas on that front). I think the lack of ability to sort…
I took a sick day from work but I’m really not that sick. Anyway, hi!
So if I’m at an event and Pence is there, all I have to do to get him to leave is to kneel? Shouldn’t this be on Lifehacker?
“Oh I couldn’t go, I was busy saving lives”
I know everybody is entitled to their opinions, but you sir are a monster.
I know opinions vary, and I don’t intend insult, but I just can’t process a list of “bad” television shows where Bojack Horseman and Frazier appear. It is possible to not respond to a show and still recognize that it is quality but just not your cup of tea. I am not a huge fan of Frazier either, but I won’t say it is…
Ugh his DM’s are so gross. The faux-awkward, hands-in-pockets-with-shoulders-shrugged “I’m just a big’ol nerd gee golly misses you sure are pretty” vibes makes me want to kick him in the teeth.
She’s pulling off the same trick as Danson - playing what’s essentially the exact same character but with the complete opposite personality traits - and doing it beautifully.
Her song choice is a great character beat. It makes no sense either for torture or in context as her role as someone trying to “help.” Essentially, it’s as if she brushed up quickly on annoying human tendencies, saw that bad karaoke was a thing, and decided to do it with a cliche song. At the same time it also…
After the insanely ambitious last episode, it was inevitable that this would be a quieter installment. And it worked - we probably needed something like this - and we finally got to see how Tahani died.
Correction: he actually called him a “fucking moron.” I believe this is an important distinction.
Oh, Sleepy Hollow. It just hurts to think back on it now...
Manny Jacinto is my favorite thing about this show (since I love most of it, you get how much I love his performance as Jason/Jianyu)
It went a little heavy on the antagonistic aspects of their relationship and too light on Eleanor calling her hot.
I think we’ll get it back - the implication of this episode is that the four keep getting to the same place emotionally, over and over.
Rewatched s1 between last week’s episode and this week’s, and it was a great idea. Helps keep gags/storylines fresh, would recommend it. I love this show so damn much and after rewatching I’ve come to appreciate the philosophy that’s weaved in throughout even more. Such a fun and funny show.
Same. I find the Eleanor/Tahani relationship more interesting than Eleanor/Chidi in many ways. Better jokes too.
Aw, and here I was hoping after last season’s tease that Eleanor and Tahani would eventually get together :\
The rate this show blows through plot is amazing. My only complaint is that we didn’t see the Tahani and Eleanor soulmate cohabitation. That must have been a great version. And JASON figured it out once! Bah!
