I can safely say I wasn’t looking for it.

We are the AV Club power couple, Kinja be damned.

The themes are annoying, but they are usually forgotten about once the tribes swap around episode 3 or 4.

Did anyone else see JP’s dong visibly flapping around despite the attempted blur? Because I’m fairly certain I did.

I’m not suggesting he’ll be a good strategic player going forward, but his plan WAS effective. He’s painted a target on the “power couple” and at next tribal, he likely has the 3 votes needed to send one of them packing.

That was some Grade A sexist/ageist editing at play. Not a single confessional from the first woman cut. No mention of the fact that she is a three-time swimming Olympian, not just a middle-aged mom. Very disappointing, Survivor.

Alan: You’ve got an idol!

The new layout/comment section is terrible. I really miss the old site.

It’s these weirdo people on reality shows who think they have a “sixth sense” or ESP about things without any evidence.

Anyone else think saying a probation officer is a Healer seems ridiculous?

I think it made perfect sense for Chrissy not to use it. I think it’s pretty obvious Katrina wouldn’t last long, would’ve been tough to risk her entire game to save someone that is at least perceived as a weak player.

Do they do a psychological screening? When he got paranoid to the point that he made a team mate strip off his shorts (Which, by the way, how did that not get him sent home?) all I could think was CTE.

Oh for Christ’s sake, why am I in the greys?!? I’ve commented here since the early 2000's and I did everything I was told in the change-over. If this crap continues you will be lucky not to suffer the fate of Television Without Pity, whose comment sections became ghost towns after they were bought out.

Good lord, this is so depressing.

I appreciate your effort, AV Club, but I think it’s time to retire Reasonable Discussions. I am pretty positive that a large number of people who kept this feature alive and quit after the switch won’t be back. And the ones that do participate aren’t going to produce discussions that are reasonable, if you see where I

I’ve been wondering: are issues like consent and harassment covered in today’s sex ed classes, especially ones geared toward adolescent males? They should be, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re not. My sex ed classes in high school certainly never covered them at all.

That’s a subset of chappatis known as a ‘phulka’ i.e. puffed. They’re rolled a little thiner so they puff up right.

Not only that, but it’s claimed that King James commissioned that translation as a concession to the Church so he could get them off his back about his relationship with Villiers. So the King of England’s gay affair would have been the catalyst for the King James Bible.

I was mad at her for that. Her reaction seemed ungrateful and cruel.
But the more I thought about it, it’s emblematic of a failing relationship. People trying their best for each other but missing the mark entirely.

She’s with him because he’s the “best thing that’s ever happened to her” or the “only not shit thing”

That no one really wants a grand gesture is very pertinent right now:
