What a waste of a soundtrack, a title (was the Modern English song even in the film? Its been used in at least two taco commercials), and two sort of okay actors. Don't know much about McKay, and Piven is just…ugh.

I read it more as a "misinformed Luke fucking with Manny" joke rather than anything with bigoted overtones. Luke believes EVERYTHING he reads or hears. He's like that aunt who emails you weird conspiracy theories and rumors, and refuses to ever check Snopes no matter how many times you tell her to do so.
