And they have LOTS of it to throw.

I don’t know that I’d call an electric motor “more technologically complex” than a gasoline engine. I could build an electric motor on my desk with just stuff lying around the house. The motor itself is pretty simple. The controls are the complicated part, but they’ve been controlling electric motors for like 150…
Even in $100 bills, that would weigh over 550 tons. The internet tells me that a standard Brinks armored truck can hold about half a billion. So you’ll need 100 of those trucks lined up outside, plus all the necessary forklifts and stuff to move the pallets around.
Looks like a really interesting place to be. I bet the view of the night sky is pretty amazing from way out there. 4 hours to the nearest “town” is pretty darn remote.
Yeah, whenever our AC stops keeping up, or I feel like the heat isn’t heating quite right, I go change the filter, and suddenly everything is fine. We use really restrictive MIRV-16 filters (which are ridiculously expensive) because of allergies and pets and stuff, so they clog up kind of fast, despite being huge.
Make sure you change your filter(s). It can make a huge difference.
I mean, I’ve definitely tried a couple different systems, but yeah, it’s been a few years. I suppose it has changed.
I used to live on the coast, liveaboard in a marina on the ICW. One of the highlights of the year was the offshore fishing tournaments, with tons of these fast offshore center consoles idling past on their way out to the ocean (and a race to the gulf stream to fish and race back). Most had like 4x250 outboards. One of…
So you’re saying I can be nauseated not just because work sucks, but because I’m doing it in VR? Double nausea? Where do I sign up?
We’re all gonna die.
No, we shouldn’t investigate it. Absolutely not. It was days ago. Let’s just move on.
Could they just stop Android Auto trying to open my Pandora every single time I connect, even if it’s turned off on my phone and the car is set to FM? Or am I just a moron?
I’m pretty sure you’re just an ozone generator salesman, but I’m still considering buying one.
My wife and I are considering taking the kids to Disney World in October (or maybe late September) because they’re good ages and it works for our life timing to go now, and not really later. We’re a bit hesitant still. Even four months from now, I’m not sure how I’ll feel just standing next to people without masks…
Whoever is whitest will win that argument for sure.
I feel like I’d rather someone used a non contact poorly than a multimeter poorly, if those are my options. The majority of stuff that a complete novice DIY is doing just needs to know if power is off or on, preferably without putting themselves in further danger to check. I feel like a non contact does that more…
Yeah, these are super common. And Klein is a great company for electrical stuff, so they’re used in industry and stuff, not just DIY. Mine is from before 2020, but I’m glad they’re getting them replaced.
LOL, wut? You were an electrician but don’t use non-contact testers? They work perfectly well when used properly. I’ve used this exact one (from before the recall), and as an electrical engineer with plenty of training and experience with power (up to 500 kV or so) I trust them.
I dunno, he’s certainly in the running, but I think Boebert and Greene are giving him a run for his money.
There’s definitely some dissolved dirt and stuff in the oceans and lakes. It’s close enough.
