In what universe are there legal ways to pay an executive who is drawing a salary consulting fees on top? Isn't that what the salary is for? Pay a bonus, there's tons of legitimate ways to give more money, but consulting for the company you also work for seems like it should just be straight illegal.

Just a note, to stop this from spreading further through the internet, this isn’t Brian Krebs of Krebs on Security. They’re unrelated. Since Brian is so famous in cybersecurity, and this guy works in cybersecurity, a TON of people I’ve seen online assumed it was the same person (myself included until I checked).

I paid mine off pretty soon after I graduated, because I had a little help paying initially, I had scholarships and grants, and I had really good co-op income and great starting income as an engineer.
