Gordon's arc for this season is starting to be like Joe's was last season: overly dramatic and not that interesting. The good thing though is that it doesn't seem to be affecting the main storyline.

I'm pretty sure it says "Two years later" or shows the date or something like that.
I am too, but I expect something will happen that will break them up. In next week's preview, wasn't she looking up into Joe's eyes? I really hope that "relationship" doesn't start up again.
There's still a few episodes left for a cheeseball reveal so don't feel too safe….
I have to say that this season has almost flipped Joe and Gordon for me. Last season I was more interested in Gordon's arc and thought Joe's was ridiculous whereas this season it's the opposite. Which is too bad because Gordon was my favorite character, but I just can't buy into him this season. Also, this is…
I remember on Breaking Bad that there would be lines that you thought Walt wouldn't cross, but he did and gradually became worse and worse. So maybe it's an AMC management directive to have Joe do it to get BB-like ratings.
I would be so dunzo with this show if it turned out Joe orchestrated the beatdown. I feel this show has turned the corner and a large part of that is scrapping Joe's ridiculous behavior from season 1. But remembering that, I unfortunately wouldn't rule that theory out just yet.
I can't get past those fuzzy caterpillars over his eyes.
Although I agree with your point about McNairy and Pace, I did think this was the weakest episode this year. So I don't think a B- is that unfair.
If the baby isn't Gordon's, I will be very, very tempted to give up on this show. That's like one of those weak season 1 plotlines.
I like Gordon!
My first year of college ('89) we got laptops and barely knew what to do with them. I remember finding a BBS and reading tons of hilarious stuff that I'd been dying to talk about with anybody else (sort of a pre-AV Club I suppose). Of course, I had no idea what the internet was or how these interesting articles were…
I'd say yes. I think the major improvement this season is killing Joe's "mysterious" storyline. It was boring and uninteresting and I was more interested in the other characters anyway. I'm sure Joe will force himself into the main storyline soon but hopefully it won't be as ridiculous as his bare-chested parking…
Angling for a job at The A.V. Club perhaps…
Oh I think the similarities between Joe and Don Draper are there. Talented individuals with mysterious pasts. I think the difference is that Don always wanted to run from difficult things whereas Joe would stay but kept sabotaging the work if it wasn't visionary enough.
I really want this show to succeed. I'm a sucker for the subject matter and the whole era, and I watched all of last season hoping for greatness but never seeing it and occasionally hating it (Joe's overwrought story mostly). I've heard better things about this upcoming season which means either it will be a more…
And the Colts' GM notified the league before the AFC Championship game to look out for deflated balls on the Patriots' side. But other than that, they had no way of knowing!
I hope it's just a fine, but knowing Goodell, it's probably banishment for life.
I think adventure games were marginalized when shooters like Doom and Quake came on the market. That's when computers became viewed less as inscrutable boxes that only nerds understood and more accessible.
I remember reading in a Wired article about Riven that the creators thought of Myst as their Hobbit and Riven as their Lord of the Rings. Bit of stretch but I would agree Riven is much better.
