I insulted him to his face at a concert. Really small venue event for charity. You were never more than three people away from the stage. The show started two hours late and after standing outside in stilettos waiting to get in the venue, I was not in the mood. I was standing dead center in front of the stage, being

I was privileged to have seen him live, at Coachella in 2008. He brought out The Time and Sheila E and I thought I had entered nirvana. Then he launched into Radiohead’s “Creep” and I just stood there, mouth wide open, doing that laugh/cry thing you get to do only a few times in your life. If the world had ended at

NYE 1999 belonged to him.

This genuinely breaks my heart. When I think of all the young girls the same age as this “before” picture, feeling pressure to mutilate themselves in order to emulate someone known for nothing other than… her lips…

Are you actually pretending that you don’t know full lips are (negatively, usually) associated with Black people?

“Everybody wants to be a nigga but don’t nobody wanna be a nigga.”

I think it’s both plus a desperate desire to believe that we can’t possibly live in a world where 20 kindergarteners are murdered for no reason.

As soon as there was an outcry that this was cultural appropriation the masses of the internet came out to say there’s no such thing as cultural appropriation/ she was just admiring black culture/ PC culture has

He stayed awake

Funny you should ask...

Even if a survivor chooses to speak or take other actions to support their healing, we must not publicly comment in a way that could compromise student confidentiality or inadvertently discourage future students from coming forward.

The answer to your questions are:

I feel like it isn’t appropriate to condemn her conservators for this kind of thing. Brit has a history of being taken advantage of by really shitty people who wormed their ways into her life and almost destroyed her. We don’t know what her illness is and it isn’t okay to speculate but I don’t think it is a stretch to

I’m not much of a Bible quoter, but I read this psalm the other day and the line about eyes jumped out at me -

First the GOP is simply “Not Obama”. Now they’ve moved onto “Not Trump”.

That’s right out of the Gift of Fear. Any acknowledgement and/or engagement resets the length of time for harassment. Like a crying baby.

Agreed. As a woman in engineering and a fan of the show, they don’t hide the fact that there are few women in the business. They even have events where women are hired to be there, which is a real thing I’ve read about. They lampoon the dick-swinging dysfunctional culture quite often.
