I agree. Mom was great. Held the kid accountable without losing her patience, or being charmed into leniency (which was a major feat considering how adorable the kid is). I have to wonder how Mom kept a straight face.

I almost applauded at the "that's ok, you don't have to love mommy, but you do have to be obedient". Perfect. She has to do what she's told because she is 3, but being 3 doesn't mean you shouldn't get to have your own damn feelings about it

They say kids learning to lie at this age is a necessary step in cognitive development. It signals higher thought processes and their intent is not really to deceive but to tell a story how they see it in their heads.

I agree, Elliot would have gone on a murder spree regardless. But it sounds like his father is still in the grieving stage where he's running "what if" scenarios through his mind, which is understandable.

There's an episode of Bob's Burgers where Bob takes Tina to get a Mother-Daughter leg waxing bc Linda was busy with something else. They talked about how awesomely smooth it was and how good it felt on pants and in the breeze, then Gene got jealous and they got his legs waxed too lol...good stuff :)

Honestly, I do it because freshly-shaved legs feel fucking fantastic. I love lotioning them and getting between clean sheets, or putting on silky pants. I'm far too lazy to do something purely for aesthetic purposes or to "please society" - the better question is why do I shave my ARMPITS? That's something I do more…
