Guess they didn’t use enough shiplap.

It’s almost like one of their contractors started working it but never followed through.

What’d it ever do to The AV Club to get snubbed this badly?

So glad to have Nancy back.

If it’s set in Florida, I’ll accept it.

That’s my job. We certainly can’t count on the AV Club to provide coverage of Nancy Drew, so I must do what I can.

Is it? Thanks for providing some news relevant to my interests!

The Boys is the only superhero property that I really care about anymore.

Father O’Malley is also very excited for the return of The Boys.

I’m always fascinated to come across an Internet commenter who uses weird typography, like consistently using the registered trademark symbol or other unusual symbols, odd abbreviations, etc. Like, a lot of what they’re saying sounds reasonable but then the writing style makes them sound like a lunatic.

It’s Friday, and thankfully, Nancy Drew is back! The mid-season finale was a delight, with a wonderful (albeit not shocking) twist, and I’m giddy about where we go from here.

I can't tell if this guy is some dumb teenager who recently watched a bunch of YouTube explainer videos about the rise of streaming services, or if it's someone doing a very good satire of a dumb teenager who recently watched a bunch of YouTube explainer videos about the rise of streaming services.

I have become really fascinated with this person’s stroked-out writing style and the fact that they’ve commented on every thread under this article, without seeming too familiar with the avclub in general (example: Maureen vs AA). My bet is: very disillusioned CW employee? Run of the mill madman?

Can you sum that up in a way that doesn’t hurt to read?

Nancy Drew is great.

Nancy Drew for one. I also watch but will make less of an argument for In the Dark

Pretty disappointing that AV Club is promoting a show sensationalizing a very clear case of image based sexual abuse. If Pamela Anderson was physically sexually abused would the show be minimizing it as a “scandal”? Tommy Lee is an abusive POS and Pamela Anderson experienced a harrowing insurance of digital sexual

Yeah, for me it’s like Jar Jar Binks. I honestly don’t believe that George Lucas intended to create a coded racist stereotype; I suspect it was an unhappy confluence of tropes, design choices and casting. But that doesn’t make it okay.

As a northeastener who spent a number of years in MD and DC, it seemed like every year there would be a mild snowstorm and everyone would freak out about it. Then I imagined when the next year’s budget was brought up, everyone laughed at the idea of snow equipment because, ya know, we’re below the Mason-Dixon line so

I remember this happening years ago in Atlanta but at least it made sense then what with Georgia's DOT (and its residents) not being equipped to handle snow/ice on roads. What’s Virginia’s excuse?
