LOL this is exactly what I do when I can’t follow a TV series based on books. I watched two episodes of Game of Thrones and couldn’t tell all the white guys with brown hair and beards apart, so I read the entire ASOIAF series. The show makes more sense now.

I just finished The Invention of Nature a biography of naturalist Alexander von Humboldt and I highly recommend it. It’s non-fiction, but reads like a novel. Anyone who has an interest in ecology or natural sciences, the history of science, or just biographies in general would enjoy it.

My grandma drove school bus in the 70s and remembered it fairly fondly.
