Well, when the maester tells Victarion about all the gay sex, Victarion just gives him protection to use.
Considering where her story left off and who she's with, it would probably be a pretty interesting chapter.
I don't even know anymore.
"Sports as a secular religion".
I'm currently reading the Aubrey-Maturin novels.
When did the show even touch upon evidence for (or against) the existence of any god?
I don't think Dr. Dawkins was the first to discredit the claim that eyes are "irreducibly complex" and unexplainable to evolution. For one thing, it's a pretty stupid claim if you have even a basic knowledge of biology and easily refuted by the many examples of "partial" eyes existing among living creatures today.
In the sense of inspiring awe and wonder, and a sense of the insignificance of ourselves in the grand scheme of things, but also amazement at what we can understand in spite of that, yes, science is a profound source of spirituality. And that's the sense Sagan was talking about.
Yeah, but all those other beliefs are just silly. It's obvious to everyone outside of those belief-systems that they're just made up and so they don't require any time to examine or rebut. I don't consider myself a cinephile - I don't know enough about film. I don't want to watch something just because it is "important" or "different"; I want to see a movie that's entertaining. However, to me, smart, thought-provoking, and engaging are some of the best ways to be entertaining. That's why I more often…
Yeah, they kept calling Chelsea "she"/"her", but he clearly had doggy boy-bits.
Yes. A crappy reboot doesn't tarnish the original. Examples: Total Recall, Robocop.
I'd much, much rather that they did a reboot than a sequel. With a reboot, we can just forget about it and treat it as a totally separate rip-off, like the Robocop and Total Recall reboots.
Also, if you love small children….
It was huge where I grew up in Canada. I was just the right age, and it was about hockey, so my male classmates all loved it.
