Gay people know they’re gay because they’re attracted to their own sex. This is an observable phenomenon. There’s no such thing as feeling “like a woman,” there’s no such thing as brain gender. Having low T doesn’t make you a woman. If you want to live as a woman, that’s absolutely your gig and you still deserve the

It is utterly not at all false.

Did you miss the people in this post insisting that this still doesn’t matter because it’s obviously just because she realized she wouldn’t get an Oscar, or it isn’t sincere, or whatever else?

Why on earth is it settled because a cousin after the fact said what Gill might have wanted?

Do you orgasm at stuff like this?

Uh. Massive makeup? To play someone who is biologically a woman? What exactly do you think the makeup is necessary for?

Also, Gill never identified as trans specifically, and did identify as a lesbian (while wanting to be called he), so the idea that this is verifiably a trans person is tenuous.

How the fuck do you know why she’s apologizing? You don’t.

Oh piss off.

You’re an asshole.

Aw, look at you. Afraid of all women, or just ones who don’t care about impressing you?

What you’re not getting is that most people DON’T “fit into” those generic categories, because those generic categories are arbitrary, reductive, and socially enforced rather than organically inhabited (something easily shown by how different those categories have been a) throughout history, and b) in different parts

Okay, what you’re not getting is that most people DON’T “fit into” those generic categories, because those generic categories are arbitrary, reductive, and socially enforced rather than organically inhabited. The WHOLE POINT is that the gender role of “woman” is artificial, restrictive, and fundamentally misogynistic,

It’s just not. Bye.

Lol nah.

Apparently it’s a meme, and Madonna was more being The Cool Mom Who Gets Memes than genuine?

Some Native Americans might feel differently about Cher being unproblematic.

You should maybe read a little more in what you’ve cited. It indicates that a third gender was used for eunuchs, barren women, and homosexuals, among others, which would actually reinforce the idea that non-binary is regressive rather than a genuine, positive thing in the history of human socialization.

Jesus, yes, thank you. How does no one see this as the regressiveness it really is? It’s mostly a pseudo-intellectual version of “I’m not like other girls.” It does nothing to address or dismantle restrictive gender norms, it just leans into them.

Frankly it’s the article that’s depressing. Such regressiveness masquerading as progressiveness.
