except — living wage is WAY different than minimum wage. Minimum wage implies — you have no skills and no one to vouch for you. Once you prove you are a good employee you would either get a raise or move somewhere you would get more money.

but you then assume that no one ever gets raises or gains new skills or shows that they are a valuable employee.
