Diet soda is not better for you than regular sugared (not HFCS) soda*. The reason is that your body responds differently to the artificial sweetener than it does the sugar. Your body knows what to do with sugar, not so with saccharin, nutrasweet etc.

Kudos. I know exactly what you mean. I used to drink 100-120 ounces of diet soda a day. Every time I tried to stop, it was the headaches that made me start drinking it again. I knew that they’d eventually stop, but they stopped right away if I start drinking it again so...¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

I occasionally get emails from Amazon asking “me” to comment on a particular question. These emails are obviously sent to a group of people, but I have zero doubts that some people think they’re directed specifically at them.
