The seats on an MD-80 aren't any more cramped than any other plane—plus one side has only two seats, which beats the 737's 3-3 deal. An aisle seat toward the front is comfortable and quiet. On an average flight, is the plane really any slower? Maybe it's top speed is, but it still flies at "real jet" speed.
