If you stay out of the boost the economy portion is there. Well similar economy to a NA v-6 of the same size (but less power.)
The vehicles it is used in are primarily for the NA market. F-150 pickup, Explorer SUV, Taurus SHO and the Flex crossover thing.

I think a great deal of the people on the road aren't really 'driving' anyway. That is, in the sense that driving is the task they are concentrating on. Too many mouth-breathers that are concentrating on doing their makeup, their phone conversation, reading the paper, eating breakfast......

Volvo - I don't have a problem with them expanding their range but they still need to be Volvos. Safety and quirkiness should come standard.
