Rode in quite a few when I lived there. Found the Escape Hybrid much more accommodating and easier to get into and out off. Less claustrophobic as well. I suppose the Crown Vic was the choice if you have no legs or feet and are 4 feet wide.

If it was a Cobra R maybe. But a plain jane 4-cyl foxbody?!

IMO, the Escape has much better egress and legroom than the Crown Vic.

Well I figured there is a pretty decent margin because most of the cost is labor. So in the case of this particular detailer with his fancy tools and his NYC (apparently) location it would certainly be on the high end. I wouldn't be surprised at $1200 on something like that Porsche.

Well he said 8hrs for the whole car. So I'd say maybe $1,000 tops depending where you live/clientele.

Well that is pretty much what you get when you buy a used (originally) expensive European car for $20k....

Well I think it's a stepping stone in the progression for the upwardly mobile woman:

3rd - The X1 ads and most of the ads that BMW has been running during the Olympics show what their target demo really is (not driving enthusiasts.)

Hehe, a lot of truth there.

I am sure everything I will mention has already been brought up:

Agreed. A 'Would you rather' might be more appropriate or extremely mediocre cars (would you drive an '82 Chevy Citation with an automatic)

But they are 'worse' than the Golf which they are based. Therein lies the problem. The original beattle was 'great' because it was unique. The New Beetle was a less practical over-styled golf.

Move much closer to work.

Looks like the air suspension might not be cut out for that...

I don't recall the front picture being there originally? But yes I would agree even more now.

Malibu or the (short lived) Cutlass that wore the same body. I those wireish wheels were Chebby though.

GM is a better company in terms of trying to hit every target market. Mazda, likes to focus more on a particular segment of the market which has its disadvantages for a large multinational auto company.

I believe that is a Land Cruiser Prado...

The Cayenne set the precedent. Before it all Porsches were 2-door either 2-seater of 2+2 cars. So naturally the next step in the evolution is a 5k lb 4WD SUV?! The Panamera might be ugly but from a 'diluting the brand' standpoint I don't think you could beat the initial Cayenne.

This should be #1-#9 at least
