I meant dark forces in a playful way, meaning Saban, their ridiculously talented players, their history, etc... but ok, be a cynic about it. Alabama played a better game, but considering Deshaun was doing all the throwing, catching, tackling, kicking, holding, blocking according to you, it’s impressive the game was so

I’m a big fan of college football, but a friend and I refer to blown coverages and missed tackles as “every defense in college football”.

Even Phil in his book speaks highly of Kobe’s acumen, but implied he’s always looking to prove that he’s better than Jordan et al and puts that energy into simply jacking up shots. Granted, he was legendarily great at that in his prime, but it came at the cost of his other basketball gifts. But considering the way he

If it wasn’t blown coverage, it was completely whiffed tackles in 1-on-1 situations that broke plays wide open (as well as the Coker run at the end when Clemson absolutely needed the 3rd and goal stop). Whether it was excellent evasive cuts or just bad tackling (the answer usually is “a combination of both”), Clemson

DeShaun Watson was great, too bad his defense refused to acknowledge the existence of the tight end position.

Well, I mean, I’m not an expert on valuation. But you should also keep in mind that RSNs are cable networks, so people who want a certain cable package (often the basic package) end up paying the fee for these channels whether they watch it or not, so it probably isn’t all about ratings. Also, sports properties are

I wonder though if there is some point where Kentucky has produced enough NBA talent that Calipari does bring some sort of edge re: recruiting free agent talent to a team.

The ex in question was a gamer/nerdy chick (and played a lot of Starcraft). It made sense to her when I explained it that way.

As for why she left me, only she knows for sure, but I suspect it’s a lot of the same reason I’m still single now and rarely stay in relationships for long; my life isn’t built in a way, and my

Didn’t that basically form the basis of everything ever written about Steve Nash?

True or not, the notion that Kobe has a theory on passing the ball, of all things, is humorous to me.

Makes sense, seeing as both take about 14 shots before they get a point

Not only that but he and the Vikings had the wind on those other kicks. Wilson and Bridgewater are not know for having powerful arms but the intense cold took EVERYTHING out their longer passes. I applaud both of them for their passing attempts. Neither could get much on the ball. Walsh simply succumbed to what hurt

The Bills’ sidelines are going to be must-see TV next season.

Blair Walsh Lived A Kicker’s Nightmare

I’ve seen surprising comparisons to Scott Norwood’s Super Bowl miss and the two are not in the same category. Norwood was solid but just pushed and from a much tougher distance.

Hopefully he got to enjoy the Packers win.

To be fair, brain damage likely accounts for over 50% of his support.

As much as I think the jokes he made sound idiotic and insensitive, the difference is that he's not a coach in a position of power of a lot of other people, and he's not in a position to hire/fire/discriminate based on sexuality. Also, making jokes about pedophila =/= homophobic. Insensitive, yes. Tasteless, yes.

Part of the reason he doesn't keep his mouth shut, I'd assume, is because he's taking on not just the Vikings, but "The Shield." He knows he's fighting a literal PR machine that has millions of sheep that will believe what it wants them to believe. If he doesn't come out like this, then he'll lose the PR war.
