She really could have used a pile of guns to cushion her fall.

A man who was paid handsomely without producing anything of value has nothing left to learn in Silicon Valley.

“That toughness comes in handy in a place like North Dakota. You see, up there, jamming your numb fingers against someone’s ice-cold helmet happens every practice. Getting decked on the cement-like dirt is just how a play ends.

.

I was attacking his maturity level as human being, not his ability to command a baseball over the plate.

If they fit different from what he’s comfortable throwing in (and has been throwing in all season), the argument from his side has a lot of validity.

He wears those stupid necklaces, too.

I’d take “competent and qualified” choices over “interesting and diverse”

I don’t know. He was a fair housing lawyer for two decades. He is, by all accounts, deeply religious, but believes that personal beliefs should stay out of politics. Played a big part in turning Red Virginia purple. Rescinded his support for abstinence education b/c all evidence pointed towards it being ineffective.

COMPETENT and liberal, please. Re: Kaine - Sure, super liberal would be nice, but let’s not deal in hyperbole... He’s liberal enough. His voting record is well rated by liberal organizations, VERY poorly rated by conservative ones.

He may not meet the purity tests of some Sanders supporters, but at this point I doubt

Right. Because there are no voters who are moderate Democrats. Oh, wait, that’s most of them.

Exactly. Was thinking this the whole way through the article. Trump is interesting. Who gives a fuck. (Or, who should care.) I want the smartest fucking person in the room with a half-decent moral compass and the ability to manage people. Anything else is gravy.

You mean she didn’t pick somebody who’s been known to her since the 90's, has a good track record as a Mayor/Governor/Senator and is fairly similar in views due to her own volition but did see because of some secret conspiracy set up by the DNC?

Cecile Richards of Planned Parenthood enthusiastically endorsed him as a VP choice. Maybe your “facts” are not what they seem.

Competent is what we need in government. “Interesting” has gotten us Trump.

I’m pretty sure it’s at least lesson 1 of reality tv show casting, where “interesting” is a synonym for “severely unstable.”

Given that Tom Perez is under investigation, and my personal choice, Julian Castro, was recently accused of violating the Hatch Act, who did that leave her with? Elizabeth Warren? We need her in the Senate, and even if we didn’t, her replacement would be chosen by a Republican. Ditto Corey Booker.

I know that when I’m hiring someone for my own company, my first inquiry is not “are you competant? Are you qualified?” Instead it’s “are you interesting??”
