Your make any goofy historical comparison you want but that fact is, appeasement never works and only emboldens foes. In this case it's a foe that's happily supporting terror and proxy armies against several countries.

Attempts at improving relations with Iran and Cuba are both thinly-veiled attempts at Obama trying to create a legacy for himself, while in reality, the attempts with govts that are run by ideologically opposed zealots is doomed to failure. Neville Chamberlain lives.

Everything worth protecting is already locked (ECU code can't be read out without knowing an unlock key or hack. Then the ECU bootloader won't load any program that's not RSA-signed.

The best thing about carriers is their intimidation factor. They are enormous with the sole purpose of making war and it makes the other guy think twice about what he's doing after one shows up.

Having owned two BMW 335s and now driving at 2014 S5, I can say that I would never buy an ATS-V.

People usually drive what they can afford and if you're not a car person or are thrifty, purchasing and holding a car until it's old and ratty is acceptable. If you're a car person and can afford a regular, modest monthly payment, then leasing is often better as this type will swap cars more frequently.
