I guess I’m the only one screaming inside watching someone subject an F40 to the snow?
Came for this.
I received a class action lawsuit letter just yesterday for the timing chain / tension on my 2009 BMW product. The chain had been replaced on my car at 12,000 miles. How you make a chain that lasts about 10% the life of a rubber belt is beyond me. Only German engineering can accomplish such things.
I’ve owned 3 German cars in a row, and they all appear to be shit, falling apart right after the warranty. Back to Japanese.
Not before some awkward handset incompatibilities and brand back pedaling.
#1 is not correct.
Christ on a bike... build it and offer it with leather, AWD and a manual. Even Mazda has started offering manual only with base model junk. Or a Speed CX-5, that would work too.
Car and Driver had a review of the special edition firebird (blue and white with blue wheels) a number of years back. They pointed out that it’s car that’s only admired and coveted by folks who can’t afford it (meaning people who can afford it don’t want it). With some hindsight, that’s most of Pontiac.
Let’s just keep making shitty cars and stir up anti-Japan sentiment. That’ll solve the problem indefinitely.
There’s a bollywood movie that shows a couple broken down in the rain in a 3rd gen MR2. He gets out an opens the hood / bonnet (front) and throws up his hands in frustration. Obvious the engine is not in the front, but the idea that a Corolla engine is ever going to let you down is equally ridiculous.
Dealership experience is important. When Hyundai tried to go upmarket with the Genesis, I went in to look at one. Immediately they were giving me a hard sale pitch and assuring me they could stretch out the loan long enough that I could afford it, not matter how shitty my credit. No thanks. I’m not a deadbeat.
I spent some hours on youtube once looking at Mazda rotary ads. Some great ones from the 80’s about how the new engine solves all the reliability, emissions, oil burning and reliability problems of previous rotaries. Lies then, lies now.
Perhaps you’re looking for misogynistic?
Drive it in the snow in a RHD car, knowing your insurance is null and void on the track, then get back to me.
