“Crown cut” sounds fancy but it’s just the normal way that boards are sawn from a log. Quarter sawn is actually more expensive because it’s more complicated and creates more waste, but it gives you a different grain pattern which is sometimes preferred. Quarter sawn boards are also more dimensionally stable.

My wife and I love it on our A-Class too, especially the multi-color themes. Plus, you can save your default setting in your own profile so the wife won’t get mad when you change the color, I can have the fire-red/yellow and she can have Red Moon red/blue/purple alternating.

Man, it would be a shame if they slapped that awful KIA badge on the front again. I know it seems nitpicky but it’s a deal breaker for me from a style standpoint. It just brings the whole car down. Driving a Kia is not a problem, but that KIA logo is just horrendous.

Make Stinger its own brand or something. Anything

Let’s agree to meet here in a year and see what has happened

Please change “bath” to “path” in the headline. For awhile, I thought it meant a financial “bath.”

That font always reminded me of the one found on nearly every postcard sent from Florida back in the 60s-80s, as well as welcome signs in nearly every Florida beach town, including the historic Pensacola Beach sign.

I’m a software developer, man - who does very specific work. And I’m too far along in my career to really change that. (20 years in software, 10 in the space I work)

The headlining picture looks to be a Trailblazer Equinox, not a Blazer.

Why IS carpeted floors in vehicles even a thing? I’d never even thought about this before.

This might come as a surprise, but it doesn’t matter to Dave if they gave $0 or $5,000 in discounts with 0% financing. He’d give the same response.

I don’t always agree with Ramsey, but you have to appreciate where he’s coming from. He actively tries to discourage ALL wasteful spending. Listen long enough and it becomes evident that the majority of his callers are working class. It doesn’t matter that you’ve saved $5,000 when you shouldn’t have spent $35,000 to

The reason taking a 0% loan is a bad idea is simply because IT’S A LOAN. You don’t accumulate wealth making payments to other people. The best car payment to have is $0 a month, not 0% percent interest.

Ahaha. We should instead take advice from someone who is piss-poor? Lol. Sure. Sponsored by the Repo Man Association.

Yeah, he's a real idiot. Friends of mine followed his hard-line advice to the t for 6 years and paid off every penny of debt including their house.

While Tom is technically correct I think he misses the real issue here.  Americans in general are spending more than they can afford on cars they don’t need.  In 2019 the average cost of a car was $34,000, that is up 2% from the year before and has been increasing at a rate greater than inflation for over 20 years.

Eh, it’s more generic and safe, but does look good for a crossover...

... I actually like the CH-R, because Toyota took a chance, and damnit we made fun of them for two decades for not taking chances. They took one and it turned out looking like a kawaii Gundam, and I am proud of the effort, and even kinda like the

Agreed. I backpacked through Europe last year and they were a godsend in many places. Scooters allow you to hit many more sites in a day than public transit and they’re much cheaper than cabs. I wish there weren’t accidents or buffoons, but I don’t think we should throw out, or in this case, burn down, the baby with

Boomer here. Yeah old people suck at driving. When something like this happens, it gets headlines and you whippersnappers bellyaching about how we geezers are a threat to society.

If there were a comment of the year award, we might have a nominee. Well done.

Well, I knew that snake was my own sweet dad
From a worn-out picture that my mother’d had
And I knew that scar on his cheek and his evil eye
He was big and bent and gray and old
And I looked at him and my blood ran cold
And I said: “My name is ‘Sue X Æ A-12!’ How do you do!?
