Koji Igarashi said he would be glad to make a Metroid game with Nintendo if they asked. Wanna see this dream come true? Over here: https://www.change.org/p/nintendo-and-koji-igarashi-to-make-a-new-2d-metroid-game/u/19037723

I totally agree. The iOS/Android version of FFVI is a disaster. :(
It’s not Open Source yet.
I totally agree! This reminded me of Zero Mission’s style a bit and thought maybe this could translate well in 3D. Another take at a 3rd-Person Metroid WITHOUT Sakamoto writing the story would be good.
“Including Bloodborne, Dark Souls 3 marks the third Souls game in as many years.”
Exactly what I suspected as well. It’s a shame Kojima cannot hold its own rights about a franchise he created, even more now that he’s independant from Konami.
It isn’t a remake: it’s a port with poorly redrawn graphics.
It’s missing some key co-op games like these:
Are you paid each time you use the word “shit” and “fuck”? If each of those gave you 100$, you would have made 1100$. Also, do you have a bipolar disorder? Everything you talk about is either black or white. There is no gray.
Actually, porting old all 4 SNES (or GBA) Battle Arenas wouldn’t take long for Nintendo and it would enhance Battle Mode by 400%.
I know I shouldn’t say this here but Shaun White Skateboarding once looked like this about 1.5 year before shipping, when we still thought this game could be awesome. We thought internally it looked really good but for some reason, it got scrapped, alongside many other good ideas.
It’s not that bad. They brought back 3rd person perspective and those power-ups: Speedbooster, Shinespark, Screw Attack and Space Jump. But they removed enemy pickups, which is really stupid.
This one surely has LOOOOOTS of free time on his hands. Maybe he could have spent it figuring out space travel instead. :)
We’ll wait until we see it happen. If Nintendo are really doing it, maybe they are desperate about smartphones taking over their own business.
I think what has changed since Melee is the Internet. Back then, you had to develop your skills by trials and errors, which took time. Today, any winning strategies for recent games can quickly be found on the internet. So people are just copying instead of inventing since you get results much quicker that way.
Great post. Or maybe Nintendo could patch Smash 4 and give players an option to “Enable Melee Physics”... or something like that. That would make Melee fans finally switch over to Smash 4.
Have you played Zero Mission? I honestly think it was superior to Fusion, gameplay-wise, at least.
Interesting but is it still really a concern for games? For example, The Last of Us on PS3 was already very convincing. If we look back from the Atari 2600, there isn't much further to go in the way of realism...
What!? PS2 sounded terrific for the time, at least, music-wise.
This is hilarious! This video alone convinced me to get the game and try it with friends. :) Thanks for sharing!
