The old adage stands - Kitchen or Bathroom yields the best returns.

As opposed to the shoe store where people also stick their feet into a ton of shoes?

Generally, I only buy from them if the price is equal to other vendors, or if the price is close enough that it doesn't bother me. I have large feet so shopping online is about the only way I get any selection anyways. But even so, some value the ability to have free returns over a 10% discount compared to other

Zappos policy is to provide free returns and exchanges for the specific reason to allow people to find the shoe perfect for them. In fact, it's the only reason that I buy from them, so they actually get business by having customer-friendly policies. I also refer my friends to them because of their customer-friendly

True, I'm just saying with so many vendors, you can likely find the same items to "try out" for similar price, but some without the restocking fee!

I do this with Zappos and treat it like in-store shoe shopping. I find 5-6 pairs or shoes I like, buy them all, try them all on, and then buy the one or two pair I liked the best.

I'd like to update that Paint.NET works a lot faster now for some reason, but I still stay away from GIMP.

Oh god, Keystone brings me back to my college fraternity days. Cheap swill. I can't even drink it anymore because of being conditioned to associate it with hangovers and vomiting.

Jesus just imagining having to grip that while lifting anything makes my forearms burn.

When we first met my gf told me she really liked how big my forearms were. I told her with a straight face that they were like that because I masturbated every day, and let her believe that for a few months.

I'd like to see more power tool Hive Fives!

A great clue to if they took good care of electronics (and to make sure they weren't stolen) is if they still have the accessories like the manual, original box, CDs, remote, etc. You can also sell items for more if you have these items!

I'd amend the list so that you CAN buy electronics on Craigslist (e.g. latops, tablets, TVs) as long as you can "test drive" them beforehand.

It may not be sexy, but my Honda Element is pretty awesome. The spare tire hatch turns into a table. A FUCKING TABLE.

I don't really care about the brand, but the shape of the grill is important. I prefer rectangle or barrel-shaped grills so you can pile the charcoal on one side, but not the other and create a "hot" and "warm" side. That way you have a lot of control over how fast your food cooks - slow cooking like veggies and corn

Very good point. We always plan for the best, not the worst.

Gotcha. We do that now by us splitting the rent and bills proportionally to our income (we split it her 35%, me 65% since I make a little more than her each month). I imagine we will do the same thing in the future and it'd be split 25/75.

Very true. It's something to discuss with my future spouse in a mature manner. I don't distrust her in the least, she's not a gold digger (we started dating long before she knew my graduate plans), and I don't anticipate divorce. However, I also acknowledge that reality is not always pretty.

She will make about 1/4th of what I make. I can't control the demand for her field (she is a Registered Vet Tech), but for better or for worse also includes income. As long as we are together I have no problem keeping our money together.

Yes. Committed relationship of 5 years and I plan to propose to her this Winter. Actually, I'll be helping her pay HER loans (she is an RVT), but that's how it happens when you combine expenses.
