That's a good question. I think if I got upset about it, it would be because I'd feel it'd deviate from the usual marriage narrative that we've all grown up to feel is correct. Doesn't mean the traditional path is right, it's just hard to break habit.

I don't think a woman should be required to change her name, although I would like for my future wife to take my name. It's really up to her I guess, and even though it may symbolically represent the repression of the female gender, I don't see it like that. I don't feel like I would "own" her in any way.

I use a small local bank in my hometown but also Chase so I can get access to money anywhere. Chase has been good to me, and even have stuff like free money transfers, so I have been given no reason to want to change from them.

Microsoft SyncToy is another good file/folder syncing tool. You can even set it up with Windows Task Scheduler to sync, say, your dropbox with your flash drive with your external drive automatically. I have mine set up to sync every 30 minutes and of course if it is already synced there is no actual file transfer.
