A scooter gang is better than a moped gang? What kind of scooters are you talking about? Also, you forgot to add Rollerblading gang to the far right. After a geriatric-walking gang.
My favorite video of his is still this video @1:10
So what better way to remember them than to compile them on a popular technology blog?! Maybe my threshold of what is "atrocious" but I think a lot of the coverage on Steve Jobs period crosses the line of tasteful memorial into something quite different.
I love using the search function on Gmail. I can search by date, sender, subject, body of the email, or sort by labels if I want to.
What, you thought that just since it looked the same on the outside that they were going to let you get away with using an older case and not buy a new one? This is Apple we are talking about! New cases for each generation!
Very true. Butcher shops can't beat big stores on price so they have to make it up in customer service. I even remember people bringing in their own steak to have it cooked and we'd do it free of charge (we'd even deduct the price of the steak off the dinner price so they'd only pay for a baked potato and salad).
I got lucky in that I happened upon a good deal on a three-piece refurb set, so I ended up coming out better. It had a manufacturer's warranty on it so I figured it was worth the risk.
At this point, the topic isn't even about the original topic, it's now about whether or not it is hard to learn to solder and/or what constitutes "time spent" doing something. I sought to end the conversation, which is obviously go nowhere, two posts ago and you press on. This makes you a troll, even if it is a poor…
It's true. They like keeping customers. Our butcher shop also smoked meats and it was nothing for the boss to tell me to throw in a pound of freshly-smoked sausage in with a regular's order.
I did all that without having to learn how to solder, yes. And yes, I would say cumulatively I spent maybe 10-15 minutes interacting with craigslist from start to finish. It's not rocket science.
He looks like he had an idea not quite worth an entire light bulb.
Now that's just awesome.
You can also put a drop of paint on the head of the tool to identify the metric.
Like I said in my post above, I've never known a butcher shop that wouldn't cut steaks or cuts off a large piece of meat you just bought from them. Just ask! They'll also wrap it in freezer paper to make sure you can store it as soon as you get home.
I worked at a butcher shop for 5 years and it was standard practice, especially if someone bought an entire ribeye, to cut it any way they wanted. The only way I wouldn't do it for free would be if the request was unreasonable, and I've never experienced that. The price to cut the steak was implicitly included in the…
Yea, I know. I'm an idiot for commenting when it was obviously a flame bait post. I do so well for so many weeks then I just read something so stupid I have to comment.
It took a quick listing on Craigslist and about 10 minutes of my time. Do you think I could have bought a soldering kit, learned to solder, sent off for a specialty screwdriver, and did all the soldering work in 10 minutes?
I found a good way to get new battery packs is to actually buy a new drill (which usually comes with 1-2 brand new packs) then sell the drill for some money.
