I haven’t heard a single person in Chicago be worried about this. We just turn on the AC and drink water if we go outside. Nothing big. Maybe less yard work for me this weekend, but a great time to take my dog to the beach since she was cold there yesterday.

1992 Presidential Election. George H. W. Bush vs Bill Clinton. My elementary school held its own vote with a refrigerator box as the voting booth. Since it was in Mississippi (I have since moved on to a better, bluer state) papa Bush won.

The Malm line is one of the few I do remember. Got a 3 drawer and 2 6 drawer ones about 6 years ago and enjoy them. None are anchored (they came with anchors though) and work well. But yeah even after 6 years I remember the Malm name.

Same here. My physics teacher had one to demonstrate projectile motion. Used hair spray as well. I think it is cheap, easy to find, and easy to use.

Technically if a town is pronounced a certain way by locals, that is what you should call it. I direct you to Cairo, IL.

If this was based on WoW I would not want to see it, but seeing it is based on the original games means that I will see it. I have very fond memories of playing those original games, but won’t go anywhere near WoW.

Reminds me of a story where a B17 (100th Bomb Group?) was badly damaged. Thinking it would not be able to make it back to England, it lowered its landing gear as a signal to the Germans it planned to surrender. The German fighters came along side it in escort positions. The crew later realized that they actually could

They also voiced concern about crime and safety in Chicago...then about a week after giving it to Rio a police helicopter in Rio was shot down by gangs.

What is worse is that Kodak actually invented the digital camera back in 1975!

And technically speaking oil spills would affect climate change. They hurt the local ecosystem which in turn harms the climate. Plus cleanup efforts would require large amounts of energy further hurting the environment. So while far from the main problem with spills, technically they do play a role. And since you seem

First, this is not art. Not even close.

I remember as a kid seeing in a museum a giant sandstone block sitting on top of log rollers with ropes attached for you to try to pull it. Obviously a kid couldn’t move it any, but enough adults would be able to. This has been known forever. Nothing new at all.

I had a similar thing happen just Friday. Very very weird having one crawl on your arm and not let go.

Dolphins have also been known to play with sharks like toys. I actually know one bottlenose dolphin that years ago would use baby nurse sharks like baby dolls, surfing them on her nose like she would a dolphin baby. Luckily now years later she has her own calf so sharks are a little safer near her.

Yeah when I was young I tried testing my parents with the tooth fairy by not telling them I lost a tooth (and I guess it wasn’t very visible either). The mistake was I told my older brothers who already knew the truth and they quickly let my parents know.

Exactly. In WW1 that stuff was all new and just being figured out. They were horrible at using everything together and taking advantage of the gains it gave them. By the end they were finally figuring it out. You started to have operations at the end of WW1 that were very similar to what you had at the start of WW2.

Looks like a really neat idea, but my fear would be how long the lifespan is. I say that purely because lenses are loved because they last a long time and hold their value. Many people still use the lenses from their old film cameras and they work great. On the other hand, flashes will eventually burn out their bulbs.

I always knew flying was expensive (more than I can afford to do often) but didn’t really start thinking about it until I saw the prices some European airlines charge. Yes short distances, but those same distances here cost far higher prices. Just lookup flights on EasyJet or Ryan Air. You don’t get much more than a

My honeymoon costs were about 50% airfare. Granted we went from Florida to the middle of the Pacific. Still insane how expensive airfare was. Fancy resorts were less.

I can confirm this is old news. I first ran into this last year when I was ordering garden supplies. I had a bunch of items saved to my cart, and when I went to buy them a couple of days later one had become prime only. The next day a different item became prime only. Amusingly, both were available from Home Depot
