Barry used to be hysterical, then we got too much of him. Then we got waaaay too much of him. But he started out great.

What are the odds we going to get a Cheryl and Archer romance this season? She has gone alpha by the look of it but, you just know Katya in en route now that Barry is back again.

Clearly this is the darkest timeline.

Duh, and / or hello.

I think of Barry the same way I think of Cyril in these dream seasons. He’s an exaggerated projection of Archer’s perception of him. With Cyril, his occasional rival, Archer gets to imagine him as a perpetually inept and jealous loser who he can abuse. With Barry, a legitimate antagonist completely of Archer’s own

The average article/review barely cracks 50-100 comments nowadays. That’s even if your show is getting recapped/reviewed in the first place. The only topic that seems to get close to the activity of the good ole days was Game of Thrones, and sometimes, MCU related ones. And most of those commenters are one-off burner

I am a longtime fan of the series, but at this point I’m wondering who in the writers’ room is Stanning so hard for Barry. I’ve never found him particularly funny or interesting - the Barry/Other Barry thing wore itself out right away.

Judy Greer is a goddess.”

“Sterling stole something from Barry-6 and it’s in the safe. So this whole idiotic fiasco is his fault..”

God damn, I’d push it up to an A just for that great character animation. And some of those alien designs were pretty great too. And of course Funbeak.

And yes, Judy Greer is indeed a goddess. Cheryl is pretty much the series’ MVP at this point.

I for one am glad he hasn’t finished the books yet. Gonna take a few thousand pages to get to Khaleesi’s marriage to Jack Sparrow, but I think Martin can do it.

Definitely funny episodes and I liked how they wrapped up the John Kelley arc. And I guess Holt getting demoted hasn’t been as big as the cliffhangers they used to do, like Holt and Jake going to Florida or Jake and Rosa going to jail, which I never really liked because it always just seemed like it was a thing they

An issue I have with introducing Tim Meadows as a character actor in any series is that that means that show has established that they will never satisfy my need for Tim Meadows playing said character.

Looking at you, Mike the Mailman.

I would have probably given the episode a B+ in that I thought it was just as entertaining and engaging as last week’s but there were a few things that didn’t work.

I wish I could give this comment more than one upvote. Also, I’m kicking myself that the Twin Peaks connection didn’t immediately occur to me when I watched the scene.

Mama Jones will be around for some time to come, as long as the writers forestall Fred’s death

Of course Alice is involved with the FBI; she knows a couple of agents, after all.

Yeah in an interview on tvline the showrunner said that since the season was pretty much all written when Luke Perry passed away they didn’t want to try to rush to put together something to say farewell to Fred, but decided to wait until the beginning of next season. Also he said that Molly Ringwald offered to stay

These scenes are more fun to discuss than watch, the usual camp value spoiled by a seriousness of tone.
