Yup, that much is true... also, billboards and ads along the sides of a road course aren’t as blatantly visible as they are in an oval, where they're on screen pretty much 100% of the time.

I know a few that do, Daytona and Talladega among them. Now here’s an idea, since they race twice on each, why not an oval and a road race instead of two ovals? I'd watch the shit out of all four races.

NASCAR should do way more road courses. They're pretty much the only races I follow aside from the most traditional ovals like Daytona, Talladega and Bristol. There are so many cookie cutter tracks that could be replaced with road racing or scrapped altogether...

Haas hasn’t done well. They’ve done fantastic on their two races, and their car is easily the best looking on the grid to boot. No wonky vacum cleaner nose, no dildo dick nose, plus clean lines and a neat livery.

Still, that’s a far cry from identical robot cars. We get shots of the pits during the race, that’s a given, what isn’t is getting shots of the race during transmission of the pits.

That’s a point, surely, but no one’s going to watch the engineers and race experts stand around looking at computer monitors for 2 hours. This is akin to how people will discuss a feature or design element of a car, but not follow the whole building and tuning process on TV or live at the shops.

It helps when the car has a large engine bay too... the workshop manual in my Fiat has about two dozen reminders to tighten and tension all belts BEFORE installing the engine. Alternatively you can pull off the entire front end and airbox to get to them.
