A little harsh, but yes, they need to cater to a younger audience. I have seen the launches of their smaller engined models and thought that they ‘could’ bring in a younger buyer, but in business ‘could’ isnt a strategy!

Whilst I agree, and lets face it there are hundreds of similar accidents per week, Musk is all to will to court publicity at every opportunity. Launching cars into space, teasing constant videos and photos (photoshop?) of yet to be announced cars and so on. While you court publicity for your own good, you have to

Nope, the tears of the working masses.

Asking 8k, probably offer 6.5 or 7k and get a better deal though.

Its not that modern and its actually quite dated now, but having driven an R before, they are a hoot! Power figures dont relay the fun aspect to this car - let me put it this way..... booooosttttt..... ;-)

The perception of airplane ‘autopilot’ is that the plane just flies itself. How much do you see on the internet about how ‘pilots dont do anything any more, planes land themselves’. Which is almost entirely not true! But hey, perception and what the public believe is often very different to the truth.

Totally agree. They have been marketing the hell out of ‘Autopilot’ for some time and just take a look at their website:

I am not going to get all defensive about riding a motorcycle. BUT, extreme situations do happen and yes, riding is inherently more dangerous. However, that is a statistic that often gets over-used.

I was taught the same thing in the UK with some advanced rider courses that I did. Be seen and make sure you see as much as possible too. The position of you relative to the traffic around you is critical. It really helps avoid the whole “SMIDSY” issues (Sorry Mate I Didnt See You).

I agree - terrible cars. Almost no redeeming features and other than a large battery that could start it in -20 degree cold, I have no idea why you would bother. Badly built, terrible to drive and with zero style - not seeing it myself.

Taking the argument a little further then.

Ok, so my wife has a 2016 Chevy Malibu, which is extremely similar. Is the Buick any different? Or is it simply a booted Malibu? I suspect the engine and transmission are identical (other than 4wd). Seats nicer? Nicer interior? Worth the price increase? Or just spanglier badges?

I dont like seeing all of the hate towards HD! Whilst I dont like them and I dont want one, they have done quite a lot in the last few years and their latest generation bikes are getting pretty advanced. They are smoother, more powerful and better handling than ever before. They are still heavy and stacked full of

As a Brit now living in the US, I grew up seeing all sorts of Renaults on the roads. They had a few nice models at the time, the 21 Turbo and the GTA Turbo were great in their day. However, what is not surprising is that there are so few left - mainly because they simply fell apart. Not well built, not particularly

While I agree that ultimately, if you wanted to be environmentally friendly and use less non-renewable energy, something like this doesnt make sense. However, if you look at this in a wider view - people are snobs and diesels are totally out of favor in Europe. This fits perfectly....

I live in California (where lane splitting is legal) and a motorcycle rider. If I catch one more Tesla driver with their hands off the wheel reading, watching TV or something else utterly stupid, then heaven help me...

This type of thing scares the crap out of me. Likely its someone having a laugh, but if there is an element of truth here, blindly walking into this type of future is madness.

There is a mention of the transfer case, but here is hoping that they dont make it out of chocolate! A quick search will reveal that it is a well known weak spot that gets easily damaged and destroyed through water ingestion through a faulty seal. Oh, and then there are the differentials that grenade after 100,000

Have you done the Tail of the Dragon? Seriously, those videos dont do it justice as to how twisty it is - its almost constant left and right for all 318 curves that are there. AND its pretty much constant double yellow lines! FOR A REASON! Its trees or banks on either side and forward visibility is not good.

Yep, the Bay Area really sucks. But, as a non-native, I have to say that this isnt as bad as some other places I have been or worked. Specifically, London! To get to central London used to take 2 hours as a drive or 1.45 as a train commute (wrong set of trains). For me to get to SF from where I am? About 1.30. And
