Thank you!
Thank you!
i really don’t believe in the supernatural but something is so profoundly fucking wrong w begotten i legit just figured i was cursed afterwards. the beginning in particular is like a knife in the eye. good shit. never saw it again.
Because people don’t want progress, they want a return to what they imagine as/pretend is “normal.”
only movie i’ve ever watched that literally felt haunted is Begotten. it’s artsy bullshit but i had to take a shower and watch cartoons afterwards to shake the feeling off.
This, indeed. "It's ass" is the best review.
It’s not good. I watched this 2 weeks ago, and I was incredibly disappointed (seems like a theme for me today). There are better films, people...
No, it’s ass. The first 15 minutes are solid. The interviews and set up of the myth and the set up for the actual story with the two kids. It’s all done really well and I actually believed they found an unreleased 70s film or a rare one and just used that to build the film. Then it all falls apart and became exactly…
The Last Broadcast is great. It is a precursor, and better than, most found footage movies, including Blair Witch.
Pretty sure The Last Broadcast is on Amazon now, and that blurs the line much more effectively, imo.
Watched this movie the other night because my roommate had heard some of this hype and, frankly, it was fucking awful. I love horror movies, from the prestigious to the schlocky, but this movie has very little to like going on. Slow pace here is an extremely kind way of saying that at least 75% of the movie is the two…
Yeah weird, it is almost like the Remake isn't a 1:1 copy of the original game and everyone has already known that for months now or something.
For a show that’s been on a for a decade and a half, this all seems like a cleverly designed way to lure in new viewers who may have initially written off the show as a Family Guy knock-off with a more political bent.
“fuck Republicans who yearn for a kinder world”
I agree with all the stuff up until you started ranting at Lynch for his meditation.
Another “style over sense” peak tv era show full with juvenile attempts on philosophy. At least with the Good Place we laughed and we didn’t have to cope with the worst acting from a lead...
I think without the lockdown I would not really bother to keep watching till the end.
Well, I will give it credits for the…
I mean, this would be fine except for the fact that The Last Jedi is a much better film than The Force Awakens.
I hate to break it to you, but the Democrats aren’t leftist. They may be left of Republicans on some things, but they aren’t really left on the political spectrum. They don’t put forth younger, more progressive candidates because they don’t want to.
Every day there’s a new version of Pauline Kael’s line about how she doesn’t know how Nixon could have won since she doesn’t know anyone who voted for him.
haha yes crunch good worker’s rights bad
I rarely ever watch ESPN, but I somehow got caught-up watching a cornhole tournament one day. It was surprisingly compelling. Unlike Australian Rules Football or whatever, I actually know the rules of cornhole already because I went to a college with tailgating.
