There is nothing happening in the political party conventions that interests me enough to watch them live.  They are like high school pep rallies on steroids. And I only went to them because a.) it was better than going to class and b.) going was mandatory. 

Counterpoint: The virtual format allowed the DNC to book people who the crowd at an in-person event would not and should not tolerate. People like Bill Clinton, Colin Powell and John Kasich.
