At this point I am absolutely smitten by Hollow Knight. Whatever type of bug our protagonist is, it’s got it’s claws in me. The combat is smooth and the movement of getting around just gets better and better the more abilities you unlock. I still haven’t found it to be unfair, but I have cursed loudly at it. Still,

For those not on reddit: r/games is the slightly better &more mature version of r/gaming. Good on them for doing this. r/gaming, however, you can continue to ignore.

I started probably about 2 weeks ago, and I’ve put in 15ish hours. Yeah, figuring out those masked hunter enemies is hard, but once I figured out a system I was able to get em. Patience and using one of your new abilities is what got me through fighting them. I’m now through Deepnest, at least for now! I just went

Another busy morning at work kept me from an early reply, but hey, it’s not like we do this for the stars!

After all of us had rough experiences our freshmen year, our friend group decided to room together for sophomore year. However, one of our friends bailed so he could study abroad, and we were given a random assignment.

Apologies, and I appreciate the correction. As you mentioned, people often just look at the face of it and think if he makes the dwarves Jewish, then he’s being an anti-semite. Thanks for reminding me the topic is nuanced, as it’s been a little while since I read the letters.

I promise this isn’t a joke. But I did play Charlie in my high school production of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. The similarities just keep on coming!

I’ve heard so much about Baba is You that I’m excited to eventually try it. Sadly for now, it must go on the backlog and wait its turn. (And for those wondering what Baba is, apparently Baba is Ewe.) For now I’ve been playing Hollow Knight and I’ve been loving it. It’s such an intricate world, and the combat so far is

This is so correct. And it hurts me that people are increasingly taking the bastardized view because it’s a easily digestible take they can trot out when they want to have a hot take on LOTR. Read Tolkien’s letters people. Nazis contacted him to ask if they could publish his book in Germany, but beforehand had to ask

Here’s the trailer that was just dropped!

Tonight at 5:30 PM GMT they’ll be announcing their mega-update, which if the leaks are true will be adding a TON of features. This is why there hasn’t been a new patch in a few months.

My dad used to work at Hershey, and I wasn’t really a fan of Twizzlers until he brought some home fresh from the plant. That made a huge difference, and I haven’t had Twizzlers as good since.

DMC3 is also considered basically the best in the series, so it’s worth checking out. Not sure how well all of it’s aged, but I loved it growing up.

Good luck with WoW by the way! I haven’t fired that up in a while, but I will get an intense jonesing for WoW as I remember it every now and then. Usually I’ll return and appreciate the QoL updates, but still won’t be able to recapture those early days of WoW. For me it’s not the content that’s the problem, it’s that

This weekend I will be playing Hollow Knight! I know, the hype train left the station without me. But I’m looking forward to it. I was hesitant at first considering how hard I heard the game was, but I had no other games on my docket and didn’t want to buy anything. After my first few rounds in Apex Legends were a

I’ve been counting down the days until Tunic comes out, so I can relate to that Zelda urge. It looks like it will be a bit easier than your average Zelda game, but with the announcement of Link’s Awakening in a style similar to Tunic maybe it will scratch that itch. Once, you know, it comes out.

This is pretty attested to in the Catholic world, though I’m curious how strong the beer was back then. Just saw an article about George Washington’s beer recipe and it was pretty weak stuff just meant to give you something safe to drink. But a nice full-bodied beer would work to actually kind of sustain you. Kind of.

I finished Kingdom Hearts 3 this week, and I don’t really feel an urge to go back for the battlegates or to grind for Ultima Weapon. (I guess you could consider the rest of this paragraph light spoilers.) To sum up my experience, I’d have to go with confused. There were parts of KH3 that legitimately put a smile on my

Words are funny like that. It’s almost like anyone can manipulate anyone’s words to mean something they didn’t intend.

Re: The “blood curse” from Matthew’s Gospel (specifically Matthew 27:24–25): While I will not argue that people don’t use it to justify anti-semitism (I’ve never seen that argument but I don’t exactly seek those arguments out), I will speak to what the verse biblically means. Pope Benedict said this about the blood
