That’s always the hard part of cooperation, and like you said, communication would have solved that problem ahead of time. Hope your friend wasn’t too offended and you get back to it soon!

SAM?! Think of something safe, like Holly Hunter! OR DON CHEADLE!”

I never played Jak X Combat Racing- in the end, was it worth it? I loved the main Jak games, and while I doubt I’ll go back for a third replay any time soon I’m curious if I missed out on anything of worth by not playing Jak X.

Glad Forsaken has given Destiny it’s mojo back! I only have the base game, but I do enjoy what’s there and am looking forward to getting Forsaken. For me, the community in Destiny is great. It feels like early World of Warcraft in terms of how approachable everyone is. Once I had a 10 year old who was max light level

Thanks for all your gifts in Pokemon Go! I’ll do my best to reciprocate, but I don’t make it to pokestops enough to be able to constantly give gifts. Glad you’re enjoying Rabbids! That game is still in my top 5 games on the switch, and I’d love to revisit it with the DLC sometime.

Hello all! This weekend I will be continuing my play-throughs of Okami and The Witcher 3! I’m continuing my break from Sea of Thieves just for a little bit- Rare has been responsive to the community about barrel changes and other glitches and patched up a lot of things, but have also been communicative about the need

Makes sense! Philosophy is the pursuit of knowledge after all, so it makes sense that a LOT falls under it.

The Franklin Fountain is a great place and definitely worth a visit if you’re ever in Philly! Good for dessert after a good cheesesteak (provolone, not whiz, and not Pat’s or Geno’s. Dalessandro’s is highly recommended. Also you get to walk off some calories!)

I love hearing about the game sessions with your Dad. I enjoy sharing things with others, sometimes to a fault. Thankfully my wife is very understanding and open to trying new things. That’s how I got to show her Chrono Trigger and Breath of the Wild; the former she’s beaten twice and the latter she’s put over 200

Hello all! I have returned from the Sea of Thieves and will be taking a break from it for a while - the Cursed Sails event was a lot of fun to play and led to a lot of great stories, but ended on an incredibly frustrating note. Some background is necessary for me to vent - feel free to skip this paragraph, I’ll just

I would highly recommend it. It’s a top contender for GOTY for me. When you do get around to it, let me know how it’s going! I would love to hear about your journey through the game.

Not sure where to find it in merchants or the recipe, but in Alchemy recipes its under alcohol, not under potions. Hopefully you already have the recipe and didn’t realize it! Apparently the Pellar in Velen sells it as well. I am around level 25, and finished what I assume is the act 1 story for Skellige, but I still

Interesting regarding that last part, that people are becoming supernatural to bend universal truths to their will. I agree on the point that knowledge is morally neutral but human agents are, well, human. You can know what’s the right thing to do, and not do it. You can abuse it. And finally, you can ignore it, which

I have finished Celeste, or at least I have finally beat the win conditions I set for myself in it. I beat the story a few months ago, and in the time since have worked hard on 4 B-sides. Last night I finally cleared the Core, a quasi-epilogue to the game. The ending of the level was interesting, but wasn’t

Seconded on the Stardew Valley recommendation. It’s a great game for relaxation, as long as you resist the urge to min-max (which is easier for some more than others). Games generally shouldn’t be stressful or exhausting, so I’d definitely playing something that’s for yourself. You deserve it!

It really was a hoot! I legitimately yelled in joy when my brothers sailed back into camera, but sadly had to cut that part out of the second gif. And like I’ve said before, I think Sea of Thieves in the beginning was a little lack-luster, but also (somewhat) misunderstood. The game isn’t about the grind to pirate

That monster description is HILARIOUS. I have not played Unavowed, but if you’ll allow me I’d like to argue with the thesis of it a bit. (Not your interpretation of it of course - how could I question that without having played the game? This is just me philosophizing, as I am wont to do.)

I can’t wait until I get to Overcooked 2 on my to-play list. For now, I will be continuing to play Witcher, Sea of Thieves, and Okami! (Of note:I recently learned how to make gifs from my Xbox Live captures. I have become drunk with power and am abusing this privilege in this post. God forgive me)

Now playing

Saw this youtube documentary a little whiles back, it goes through the history of the genre first before culminating in an examination of Monkey Island.

I grew up being intrigued by adventure games but never could make sense of them. I picked up a Lucasarts Bundle of games from GoG a year or two back, and Monkey Island and Sam & Max finally clicked. I am still stuck in Sam & Max, but its also been months since I played. The strengths of adventure games are also their
