Oh, I 100% agree. I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t enjoy this movie that much either. The main thing that struck me about Dowd’s review was just what appeared to me to be a mismatch of expectations, which is why I commented. If you go in expecting fun action movie and instead get serious action movie it’s going to mess with

Not that I’ve seen the movie, but the rebooted Lara Croft game wasn’t really supposed to be an giddy adolescent adventure. It was supposed to be a redefining of a character from a pretty brazenly objectified character to someone possessing a personality (that was the intention anyway - she is still objectified, just a

Conditions of sales are kind of the backbone of the entire concept of selling something. You buy this from me at a price I set for an equal exchange of goods. The seller has the right to stipulate terms, which is just part of the price of the good being sold. If musicians can sell an album and also forbid you from

I am halfway through the second season and wow, you called a lot of these. Good job.

I’d say that’s the perfect category for it. It’s a fun game, but it really shines with multiplayer and beer goggles. So definitely fire it up with a drink in hand and some buddies in tow! Playing with strangers is just fine as well, as the player base as seen in the beta has been pretty good. But if you can bring some

Well, if I’m being honest, the final beta of Sea of Thieves is this weekend.

So, yeah...that. I know I’ve waxed on it a lot, but man is it a fun game. They are adding more content to this beta than the stress tests, so thankfully that will add to the variety! Plus it’s an open beta, so no more need to download the Xbox

Rationally, my mind understands that there are plenty of places where I can play blackjack or poker on my computer. But I still have never enjoyed it as much as I have playing Red Dead. I probably would enjoy Poker Night as well, but that would require me to purchase another game when I already have RDR.

That’s a shame about Animal Crossing. I never got it, but the concept on paper sounds like it should have worked so well.

Now playing

Nice, I love Daniel Tidwell’s metal video game album!

That UFO looks a little miffed that it has to keep helping others. But maybe I’m reading too much into it...that theme song is really cute and uplifting after all.

Huh, so THAT’S how my cat ended up in Ozzie’s Fort...

First and foremost, let it be known to the court that Chrono Trigger is my number 1 favorite game of all time. So take my bias for what it’s worth. Overall, I would consider it the perfection of the old-school RPG. The Final Fantasy series was just waxing in quality, and I think that every aspect of Chrono Trigger

Man, I remember farming Gato and the bell mini-game over and over and over again. And despite the marginal benefit it offers, I continue to do it every playthrough I do of Chrono Trigger. I guess once you play a game a certain way the first time, it gets hard to break old habits subsequent times.

I played Sea of Thieves this past weekend in their Xbox Insider Stress Test, and I am 100% sold. The game is incredibly fun and laugh-out-loud hilarious. Steering on the high seas is relaxing. And the art style is great! The cartoony characters somehow blend in perfectly with the best water and light graphics I’ve

After a visit to the Windy City last weekend, I am now free to give my post mortem on the game I made with RPGMaker VX Ace! Due to the personal nature of this game and the vast amount of friend’s names and faces used, I can’t disclose too many specific details, but I’ll do what I can.

The genius of this type of structure is I think distilled in a quote from Chesterton:

This reminds me of Seth Everman, who also doesn’t usually cover songs but rather plays quintessential themes found in video game music. I love his videos.

Thanks! I am honestly very excited about it. I am certain he’ll really enjoy it just cause he’s a good friend and I’m very confident in our script to at least deliver a good and funny story. Still, I am hoping that he enjoys it as a game too!

Quick post script: I will be in Chicago next Friday giving him the present, so I won’t be reporting back on this until 2 weeks from now. I’ll give you all a post mortem then!
