I can only speak for myself, but I tried playing the first one, and could not get past the overly long prologue/tutorial. After every cutscene, I’d think, “oh a chance to actually play the game.” I’d walk a bit, only to trigger yet another cutscene. The worst was when I woke up in the mountain and I walked down a

My interest has almost entirely faded, especially when I see Boomerang use guns instead of boomerangs.

If you’re not familiar with isekai, I’ll briefly turn it over to the otaku of Kotaku, Isaiah Colbert, to break it down

I will play the crap out of this. Right now, I’m playing Nioh with cheats (I’m old and I don’t have time to git gud) and it’s a blast. I can’t wait to give this a try

whoa! are you saying there are 19 Bus Simulators i could be playing right now?

i wasn’t planning on buying this until it was 20 bucks on steam, but now i think i’ll skip it entirely.

the only way i would play this game is if Rowling cut me a personal cheque for 1 million Euros

Thumbs up for embedding your own tweet in your article. now that’s swag

Sounds like this game is a slog. I think I’ll skip it or wait until it’s 20 bucks on steam

Big game companies are just asking for me to wait 2 or 3 years until it’s 80% off on Steam with all the bugs patched. There doesn’t seem to be any advantage whatsoever to buying a AAA game during the first year. Why would I buy the new Saints Row that’s apparently buggy as hell and thin on content for full price when

i’ve got a fancy Alienware laptop so i’m good to run this but all of the marketing has led me to conclude this is a “wait until it’s on sale on steam” game.

Idk, the patch made one of my spare ships worth half a billion, I sold the thing, money is meaningless now.

I gave the game about 40 hours until I got stuck in some space combat and it was tedious AF. now I can turn it off? Back to NMS I come!

i wish this article had been framed as “here are some stuff i remember about the early 2000s” as opposed to 8 forgotten computer games. based on the article headline, i guess i was expecting a bit of history, not nostalgia. my error, i suppose.

I’d previously thought of ancient Greece as a stuffy and intellectual world because my main exposure to the country was through learning about it in public school. But Odyssey showed me that ancient Greeks could be fuckups.

This is pretty much a guaranteed buy for me based on this detail. I don’t have the patience and the time to get gud at Soulsborne games without help.

I gave up on the second boss because running back through 5-10 minutes was a chore. that’s all Bloodborne was to me, after awhile: a chore.

RIP Mike, you will be missed. My condolences to the friends and families.

I have tried playing this game twice and both times almost fell asleep with boredom with regards to the combat and/or actual gameplay. The narrative is quite gripping, but not enough for me to endure all the clunky mechanics. But your mileage may vary

this game looks so bad. the blandest AAA game possible. everything i’ve seen and heard so far makes it sound like the emptiest of IP cash-ins. is there anybody who worked on this game who is genuinely excited about it? or was it just a paycheque
