Yeah, people here in the comments are acting like a game never asked them to kill anyone before. All of a sudden everyone on Kinja is morally against killing murderous dogs and bandits. TLOU2 doesn’t do anything that the first game didn’t, story/theme wise. Ellie and the other characters make decisions. Many of these

I’ll second this point. All “critics” and “reviewers” these days are just internet randos. Nothing special about them other than that they spend more time voicing their opinion than the average guy. No reason to trust a longtime industry expert over some random guy who’s been playing video games since he was 5.

The overall theme of TLOU series is the degradation of one’s humanity when faced with survival. The “point” of the story is that in dire situations, people are reduced to their worst, most primal instincts. People will kill to survive. People will kill to save the ones they love, even if that means taking away other

I’d argue THIS is that game. Headshots are beneficial, but TLOU in now way requires you to use them (outside of 1-shot stealth kills obviously). You can take down a human enemy or a “runner” in 3 pistol shots, center mass. Getting a headshot on a moving enemy is so difficult in this game that I don’t even try. TLOU

This is the best advice anyone could give at this point. I came here to point out David Tracy’s hoarding problem as well. David, I love that you’re taking this matter seriously, and that you care about your neighbors and the community, but it’s really yourself that you need to worry about. You have a small problem.

We don’t “just disagree”. You stated that naughty dog “treats Joel as a hero”, when there’s a mountain of evidence to show that they don’t think he’s a hero at all. You brought this up as a large reason for you not liking the ending. As I explained in my original response, the POINT of the story is that Joel is not a

I don’t think ND has ever claimed that Joel was a hero. The games goes out of its way to show you how broken Joel is, and that he’s just another person trying to survive. One scene in particular that stands out is when Joel and Ellie are driving, just getting off the highway, and Joel tells her to buckle up because he

I agree. Living in the city has nothing to do with age or marital status. It has to do with interests and priorities. A lot of young people prioritize not being in soul crushing debt, so they actively choose to remain in the suburbs where they grew up (low housing costs). Also, a lot of young people are seeking to

Garage? Lol, I live in downstate NY. I can count on one hand the number of times I’ve seen a car actually inside a garage. For all my fellow New Yorkers, the best piece of advice I can give is to hire someone to pave your driveway and make it nice and level. That’s the best you’re gonna get.

I’m a little late with this reply, but everything I said is the truth. I’m sorry about your situation, but you’re never going to escape your situation with a defeatist attitude like that. I’ll let you know that a big help in saving all that money was not having any debt to begin with. My sister and I both had full

No need for a comeback, Justin. Just check your grammar. As I said, I feel like a jerk saying it - I’m not trying to belittle you - but you literally get paid (I hope) to write these articles, so as a reader, I’d expect you to be much better than average person when it comes to, ya know.........writing.

You’re a professional journalist and your opening paragraph contains the phrase “us Americans....”? I feel like such a dick, but please check your grammar.

Valid point. Senior drivers are definitely the cause of a lot of accidents, but no more than any other group. I work in insurance and in my experience I see that most elderly people rarely drive at all. The ones that do try to drive will usually have a few minor parking incidents before they give up and accept the

I’m genuinely curious as to how this happens. In an automatic transmission, doesn’t your foot have to be on the brake to shift into drive/reverse? If your foot is already on the brake, how do you try to press the brake and then press something else? And let’s say you’re already in gear, and you’re stopped at a light.

Nothing against this video, but if anyone actually wants to learn how to weld, ChrisFix just posted a great video on Youtube. He fixes a whole in the floorboard of his Del Sol, and he shows you the entire process and he does a fantastic job.

You nailed it. There’s tons of these listed on Craigslist and FB right now (at least in the Northeast) for about $4k. I’m selling mine soon and honestly hoping to get $3k.

As a Crossfire owner, I have to say they’re no smaller than they look. I’ve got a new Miata sitting in my driveway too. The Miata is definitely the smaller car (and feels smaller). I’d imagine a 1st gen Miata is even tinier. The Crossfire is slightly bigger than a Miata and....feels slightly bigger than a Miata when

I also voted CP because you can get Crossfires easily for $4k in the same or better condition (I’m currently selling mine for $3k). But comparing it to a Miata, the Crossfire is the much more practical and usable car. On the track, sure, the Miata is the clear winner. But for something to daily drive, the Xfire kills

Sounds like your friend had a rare and unfortunate experience. As for tire wear though, that’s based entirely off of the type of tires you buy and the way that you drive. Cars don’t eat tires - drivers do (and the proof is that I’ve got $80k on my Crossfire and I just fit my 3rd set of tires. Doing donuts destroyed my

I daily drove one of these for 8 years. The Crossfire is the ultimate little coupe because of that hatch. You can fit a lot of stuff back there. Pretty reliable too. I still have that car and I’ve barely spent $3k in maintenance after more than a decade of ownership. Only problem is, when something does go wrong, very
