The real victim is 100% George Floyd.

That faint sound you hear is the sound of laughter from all the people who spent years claiming Kylie’s lip kits were just an upsold dupe of ColourPop
Can you really call yourself “self-made” if you were already born into wealth? Does anyone believe that Kylie went to a VC or financial institution to get startup money?
If you’re looking for evidence that women bear more of the emotional burden in life, look no further then “Oh, Mom’s the one responsible for keeping track of Dad’s secret kids.”
I agree, Halle Berry is very beautiful but... seems she also has likely had a nose job.
I think that lying about having procedures done is a very common and fucked up trend. Bella Hadid comes to mind - she vehemently denies ever having had plastic surgery/botox/fillers, yet she CLEARLY has. I think Hailey Beiber is in a similar (slightly less obvious) camp. It just seems really obvious that these people…
That is a fair, grim, and accurate assessment. Good point, especially about the plethora of racist and tone-deaf statements currently out there.
It’s always nice to see Samin Nosrat continue to be awesome. Hopefully she has another show in the works.
It feels more of a response to Lana Del Rey’s nonsense as she has actually stated “in definitely not racist” and said she’s “not racist” several times in her shitty-still-not-getting-it-and-silencing-none-white-voices bullshit. But I truly do not know, too many racist statements to chose from, it’s fucking sad.
Samin Nosrat is a light and I really did appreciate her Instagram stories about being anti-racist. I hadn’t made the Alison Roman connection, but that does feel like something she could probably stand to hear.
Being raised by these parents would probably not be in his best interest.
Lori Laughlin’s children should also be in jail.
1. They also put him in a dark closet by himself to “calm him down”
The bigger mystery to me is, who watches these videos? Who follows these people and wants to listen to basic people spewing basic shit for 45 minutes, which could be condensed into 2 minutes but they stretch it out foreeeeever to get more $$$$?
Oh my god, “gotcha day”? My brother and I were adopted as infants, and it was VERY clear to us from the get-go - even though it was never actually said in so many words - that the days we were born were the days that we were born into our family, regardless of how many days it took for us to be officially placed in…
That’s the part that really gets me too - they’re sharing info about his life and his medical situation that they have no right to share. Doing so isn’t in his best interest, it’s just in theirs, because they want to make sure that no one thinks badly of them. They’re clearly not equipped to be good parents to him,…
On #3. Besides from the fact that the kids could go ‘oh heck, they could get rid of ME’ and how fucked up that is, it could also go ‘well, if I don’t like something/someone that is different than me, I can just get rid of it/them’. Really messing up future relationships, both familial, social, and professional.
This ‘family as performance’ shit is angering in ways I cannot reasonably put into words using my mushy quarantine brain.
My friend was given back to the adoption agency after his first set of parents decided he was too sullen as baby. I think good riddance to those people, he ended up with a loving family and was too young to really remember that first family. These people publicly documented his stay with them so it’s out there…
A few things to add color to the discussion:
