Math!

oh god... the camera work... my eyes... the goggles do nothing...

While I am very much any organized religion (“opiate of the masses” and all that). This strikes me as fair? For a group that has historically persecuted by the Church for a long time, them saying “Hey come in, you’re welcome. You’re welcome. But you can’t be in charge because we don’t want to promote your lifestyle.”

Oh yeah, of course. You said “most of them”, so that implies that the previous discussions weren’t a requirement.

You state: “You owe a person who has become toxic nothing in way of explanation”

Easy mode: Send them a link to this Article.

Why on earth would they not just take the Thanos route? Full CG Genie with a version of his face is fine. I hope these are still in production, but I doubt the would have released them if it was.

*not a parent, so easy for me to talk*

People will be confused by this because the summary was explicitly worded to make it confusing. By listing “Epic Games” first and not saying the name of the game, you make the reader assume that Epic is the subject. But then you would get less clicks (and maybe less comments because people like me would come to

Most likely because western internet has told them that they should feel upset by it.

Archival footage/recordings shouldn’t count for or against.  Yeah they didn’t hire the people again to say the same exact lines, but the original actors probably got residuals.  Using the previous dialog is better than having a new person record it.

While I do think this is silly, I think there is a tech reason for it, not a business reason. They want advance warning to prep the servers, and find some bugs before it goes live.  The early access people are just acting as beta testers.

So your argument is that they should give away 1/4th of their profits? That is a substantial amount when single digits in decreased profits for a company this size leads to tons of discussion and articles (look at Apple last week).

This just seems like a bad move for Deep Silver. Metro games are not AAA enough that most people will go searching for and then go “I must play thing!”. They are more “Hey that game has good reviews”, “Oh yeah, I forgot about that game, there is a new one, sweet!”.

That is disgusting!

Why not post the price? Especially since Walmart doesn’t show it right away.

GameStop is another company that was too slow to react to the internet. Like taxis and print media, they had to do something to make their business have value by like mid ~2000s. But they just got by on “people need our service and they always will!”. While the internet just laughed and waited.

Believe it or not, humans are not born capable of lying. It is something that comes with development. Because it takes imagination and other skills, humans don’t normally start lying until about 3-4 years old.

Hmm. For me it’s a few things. 1) The launchers are normally annoying, auto-starting with windows, sometimes when I tell them not to, frequent updates, etc. 2) I guess I like having my “collection” together, my DVDs (yes DVDs, getoffmylawn) are in the same place, my PS4 games are together, my board games are together.

I don’t want another launcher; I have too many as it is. Metro is not a ‘must-play’ game for me, this is enough of annoyance that I just won’t get the game.  Well, maybe when it is on-sale on GOG or Steam.
