Absolutely not! First of all, we do flat battles, so everybody's Pokemon get auto-leveled to lv 50. And second, we always try to have gym leaders who range from Casual players all the way up through tough Veterans. There's room for everybody!

Those Sanshee badges are super cool, but our gym leaders give out their own badges that they design themselves! (They take the form of 1" pins.)
