Portability! I don’t like to carry a purse. I do like to have a smartphone. It wouldn’t be a gimmick to me. I’d like to get back to being able to carry my phone in my jeans pocket. 

When I was in retail, my manager was transferred to another store “to turn it around,” and the entire staff at that location simultaneously quit. She had to beg people from other stores to come fill in shifts, and she had a hard time with that, which says something if you know how badly retail workers usually want…

It’s not about a lack of funds. Children are being abused and neglected as a punitive measure. ICE is taking possessions away from refugees. We can start by keeping families together and allowing them to use the hygiene supplies they traveled with. 

I have OCD (well managed) and swimming in the ocean is exactly the kind of thing my therapist encourages me to do. Chances that it will hurt you are super low. Chances that avoiding the spectre of “germs” will hurt you are super high, because the more you do it, the more you “need” to do it.

I accidentally thunked a heavy ski boot down on the end of my jacket zipper, smashing the slider mouth closed, and now it’s too tight to get the zipper in. I’ve been thinking maybe I could warm the metal up with a hair dryer and pry it back open a little, but I don’t want to make the situation worse.
