Enjoy some photos from the monthly KC Cars & Coffee meetup this morning. These events will grow larger as the weather gets better, so let this be a reminder get out there and step away from the computer or phone, get outside, and enjoy yourselves with car related activities!
One year later and this mofo is still putting a huge smile on my face. The only hiccup has been a cracked fog lamp thanks to a rock that was kicked at it while driving on the highway, replaced it and added some lamin-x covers and no other issues to date. Takes my two kids to daycare and me to work every day and is…
From The Drive:
Went out this morning for a bit with my daughter and let my wife sleep in. Didn’t stay too long as it started getting hot and little kids don’t really tolerate looking at cars in the heat like (supposed) grown adults do. Pardon the quick photos, but they give a good idea of the fun stuff out there this morning. Get…
The torque steer has now been fixed.
For those of us who live in the appropriate climate, remember to winterize your car!
Some of the cars that showed up this morning:
Woah, that was really all I could muster from the passenger seat as I snapped photos from my phone.
Ford F-6 in Shawano, Wisconsin outside of the Sun Drop museum. Still looks like it’s in running condition!
The story behind this particular 1955 Mercury Montclair Convertible and its restoration is pretty interesting.
The Mazdarati, Stubby Bob, Muscle Truck, General Maintenance, and the Hot Rod Garage project Atomic Van:
Found at the end of the parking lot at Hy-Vee. Very clean (no appearance of mods other than a sub) other than the appearance of scuffs on the left front trim and normal wear and tear. But the interior was, well, dirty. Makes you wonder if they know what they have?
Another great Concours here in Kansas City, they seem to be getting better cars every year. Here are a few iPhone photos which will have to do until I get around to playing with the photos that I took with a better camera. There was so much more than what is shown here. I hope these inspire you guys and gals to check…
Some of the cars from the final leg of the 2016 Hot Rod Power Tour. No Roadkill cars in this one, I’m sure you’ve seen them before and I will probably just have them in a separate post some other time.
A few of the cars from a very hot day in Wichita, Kansas. Just got back and I am looking forward to a better venue and one that is much closer to home tomorrow. The only downside is that it will be just as hot as it was today (100+).
We did some errands and stopped by a local outdoor nursery to get some ornamental grass for the yard. My wife and I didn’t think we would be buying a tree to replace the one we just cut down in the front yard. But we did. Knowing we used the wrong car for the job we did our best Top Gear impersonation and drove home…
Mr. Bateman, I found your wine selection.
Called a convenient new KC-area company, Zohr Mobile Tire Service, to come and install my winter tires today. The summer
tires wheels have been cleaned and waxed and put away for next year.
Just finished adding a layer of sealer to the paint and will be letting it sit overnight. Almost looks like a matte effect to the paint.
