It would be cool if it wasn't just wishful thinking...

You mean spieS, in the plural right? :P
I understand your point, but Persepolis is an awesome comic and movie, but very few people know it, so a little publicity can't hurt that much..
"graphic novel" is just a expression the industry invented to separate cheap and teenager focused comics like Marvel and DC from high quality narratives like Ghost World and Persepolis. In the end, they are still comics, but with a good history.
"Never seen Akira or Persepolis, soc an,t judge,"
I agree that Persepolis and Ghost World are in another league compared to super hero comics, but, a bit of publicity wont hurt them right? They are great movies, but very few people knows them
Persepolis is one of the most beautiful movies I watched. Ever.
My wife said she almost screamed "Avengers Assemble" at that part. We are planing now to watch it again, so we can do it :P
"art by committee, decided in a particle accelerator"
A neutral good would not kill the man, because he would ignore a law to save a life, but a Lawful would never ignore a law. Actually Ned is one of the greatest examples of lawful good I ever saw, since most heroes in histories are neutral or chaotic good
And given the fact you will have robots for hard labor, there will be no need for the worker classes, this, plus the artificial superiorness from the rich, genetically improved elite, will result in a mass massacre that will make Hitler look like a Care Bear in comparison...
Sorry, but something is bothering me: "The idea that the presence of smarter, fitter, and happier people will result in a war that causes the death of 30 million people is a bit of a stretch."
"The few that do 'see' their alien visitors are perhaps even more tragic. If they experience hallucinations that vivid, its possible that they're a danger to themselves or others."
I love the concept of Steampunk Holmes. I know everybody hates steampunk, but I like it visually, and absolutely love the Nautilus.
Geek types always have serious relationships. Almost all my friends from graduation are already married or have a long term girlfriend.. I bet they would absolutely *love* to have sexbots, but it would be very hard to justify themselves for investing in that :P
It's not that hard to imagine. Give a geek gazillions of money, what do you think he will do with it? I'm pretty sure space exploration is one of these things :P
Prediction machines are for babies. Hari Seldon could anticipate these things with a simple calculation on a napkin
I kid kid. I'm complaining at you, I'm complaining about the universe and stuff. I'm pretty sure there is an alternate universe out there where strategy and space opera didn't died :P
We live in a world of nonsense my friends.. Do they have any pill or drug to make me start disliking strategy and spaceship battles and start liking FPSs like everyone else?
What? They transformed Star Trek in a third person shooter? There's no dignity in the US anymore?
