When I was researching for my thesis, I found several articles talking about the importance of easy to use and learn programming languages, and how learning to program will be the learn to write in the near future, because in this highly automated world, not programming will be like being illiterate..

There are thousands of great minds trying to do that, but once something big as an entire educational system is established, I think it's very hard to overthrow it with something better. It's like talking about social politics with a right wing person.

Making cars expensive doesn't work, here in Brazil cars cost 10 times more then US, same for gas, and still streets are full of cars and drunk people are killing and getting killed every day in our transit..
