I’m no fan of the monarchy or the royal family, but waiting a few weeks to tell the entire world that you have cancer, giving your young kids a little bit of time to process it privately, all while the jackals on social media are making up conspiracy theories... seems fair to me.

Also for $30 you can get a keyboard without a broken caps lock key.

I listened to the episode of Pod Meets World where Strong and Friedle talk about Peck. Some impressions...

They don’t let themselves off the hook for writing letters of support. Friedle in particular refers to supporting Peck in court as his, “ever-loving shame.”

They talk a lot about experiences on set, with Peck, and

Seems irresponsible for this article to ignore Drake Bell’s own child predator convictions as well.

Performance is directly related to whether or not the laptop is plugged in. I didn’t buy an x-thousand dollar laptop to have it run at 50% capability because it’s running on battery......

This is information isn’t entirely true. For one, during the pandemic a lot of manufactures realized people were over charging their laptops and making warranty claims for swollen batteries. To curb costs, a lot of them issued Battery BIOS updates to stop laptops from constantly charging the battery. Now most laptops

I also question the apples-to-apples of it. People who get dressed, travel to a theater and pay their $11 to specifically see one thing aren’t really comparable to people who’ve already paid their $15 and are just settling for something to have on in the background while they fidget with their phones/iPads.

Exactly. They give you trade-in value below what they will be able to resell the car for. So I’d think telling them you have a trade would give you better negotiating leverage on the new car purchase since they know that profit margin is forthcoming. There are several levers dealers pull to generate profit, and that’s

I got my driver’s license in the UK, where everyone is tested and generally gets a manual car after. As a 17/18 year old I would drive stick while texting and eating all around London. Teenagers always find a way.

Manuals aren’t more expensive because they are more fun. They are more expensive because they are low-volume. I agree with the rest of your post. Except that being middle-aged and living in Los Angeles, manuals are much less fun 95% of the time.

It’s manspreading for people that don’t take the subway.

Counterpoint: many modern cars don’t make the full suite of safety features available on manual cars. Subaru’s Eyesight system is great. It has adaptive cruise control, lane-following, auto-braking etc... but EyeSight isn’t available on Subaru manuals. I’d argue that the safety tech creates a safer driving experience.

Or, you wouldn’t know a metaphor if it smacked you in the face with its tiny penis.

Go ahead, make a video of you eating your McDonalds meal while navigating through downtown San Francisco, and tell us about how seasoned of a manual driver you once were.”

My sister’s driving record when she drove a manual says that driver’s of manual cars don’t have to pay any more attention to the road or their surroundings than any other driver. Also used to have a coworker who texted while commuting in a manual.

Big truck = Small Penis.

My personal experience is that more than half the aggressive drivers I see out there on the road are driving full-size pickup trucks and the more the mods, the more the drive aggression. If I am being tailgated in the center or right lane in heavy traffic, I almost always expect to see nothing but the huge-ass grill

A friend’s teenager once printed up 100 static-cling decals (this is important as there was no possible way he was vandalizing or damaging property). They were matte charcoal grey so they blended into dark colours really nicely. They said “I have a tiny wiener”. He stuck them to brodozer trucks, just below the rear

Exact, it’s metaphorical. Driving a brodozer clearly shows you are seeking attention/validation, which is often a sign of poor self-esteem/insecurity.

Couple that with the fact that a lot of lifted and ridiculously modded truck drivers(I’m tempted to go with most, but I’ve restrained myself from being too hyperbolic), are total assholes.  Just watch their behavior on and off the road and you’ll have plenty of empirical evidence to back it up.
